This is a quality video, representing the processes with a good enough detail to be interesting to wide audience. On top of that is the voice of the presenter, very proffesionaly done, pleasant to listen to, and the music in the background just there without pompousness. A great video, a great presentation of Johnson Matthey. Would never know about the company but for the Periodic Videos visiting you. That was a GREAT marketing decision!!!
I worked for this company back 1974 Back then We're taking about Hydrogen cells This company had a world vision Also I was relocated to Royston Hertfordshire Noble metals Fabrication products And gauze department Platinum into weaving Mesh Excellent company Also benifits And people Making a beautiful world for us Great videos Great company Johnson matthy will always be well ahead of us For the world Am glad I was part of the company family.......
haha how can you dislike this?:D it shows the separation of silver gold and other materials...I mean...whats not to like? Interesting to know how things are done in this world, great vid!
how can I talk to someone I have some questions about some ore iam trying to have its precious metals extracted because I have more then 3 maybe even all of the precious metals
Interesting how once the customer agrees with the evaluation of how much of each PGM element exists in their feed, that's what will be returned to them no matter what. It is then no longer important to keep customer feeds separate in processing.
Usually when you find a platinum nugget,it almost always has a mixture of the 5 other platinum group metals, with platinum making up most of the percentage in the nugget. But sometimes you have a PGM nugget with one of the other PGM metals making up more percentage of the nugget., ...and sometimes but not often you will have a nugget with just one of the PGM metals in it, like just a platinum nugget, or just a rhodium or iridium nugget. When the customer sends this refinery a nugget like that, what do they do with it? how do they refine and certify it. If it doesn't have to be seperated , there is no point in destroying a rare nugget..can they still refine and certify the nugget without destroying it ? Also does this refinery buy your PGM 's ,silver and gold , or do they just refine it?
I'm sorry no one else answered this in the two years you've been waiting I do not represent this company in any way shape or form but I watched their video and I understand exactly what they're doing. Using an x-ray analysis to find out the rough percentages in your nugget expect to pay a percentage on that fee if you choose to then withdraw the Nugget from sale, at that point you've paid for an analysis and will get your nugget back untouched by chemicals. If you choose to sell your nugget based on the percentages that they say is in it they will buy it from you at a wholesale price because that is what they deal in. I myself would choose to hold the Nugget and hope for a collector to buy it from me, not a refiner. A collector will buy an item and think better of it for the assay and you'll be charged for that assay by these folks just like any other person would be. You cost might be high compared to what you think the item is actually worth but that is the cost of the assay and a normal part of doing business and can be passed along to a nugget collector. They understand what it takes to make the nugget available to them.
cuz there is no competition, and its interesting to show customers, and other individuals how things are done, separating gold ,silver etc is done for 1000s of years..
Thank you for that informative presentation. There is Platinum & Gold on my land. If interested get in touch with me. I would like to send some samples if you like. Thank you.

Why would you show the competition exactly what you do?
Because there is no real competition for JM when it comes to refining PGMs.
cuz there is no competition, and its interesting to show customers, and other individuals how things are done, separating gold ,silver etc is done for 1000s of years..

This is why PGMs can't be monetary as much as silver and gold. Too hard/expensive to refine.
