- Halloween is a Chapter for Dead by Daylight and includes the new map Haddonfield, Michael Myers as a new killer and Laurie Strode as a new survivor.
Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game where one player takes on the role of a brutal Killer and the other four play as Survivors. As a Killer, your goal is to sacrifice as many Survivors as possible. As a Survivor, your goal is to escape and avoid being caught and killed.

@Kiss My Axe you have to understand the game has been out for two years and in the time period players become more experienced and the game sorta loses that feeling of "oh my god killer just walk past me, that was scary as shit. To fucking with the killer or not being as scared, that's why its nostalgic.

For the people complaining why this isn't free DLC, LICENSING IS NOT CHEAP. I will gladly pay $6.99 for this DLC because the developers are working non stop on making this a more enjoyable experience unlike some Triple A titles.

Everyone seems outraged that they're charging money for this DLC, but have you ever actually thought how DLC is produced?
They would need to employ: a Creative Director, a Project Manager, a Lead Designer, Game Designer, Level Designer, Technical Director, Programming Lead, Programming Technical Lead, Multiple programmers, an Art director, Animators, concept artists, character artist, environment artists, UI artists, VFX artists, Audio lead, sound designer, Music composer, Quality assurance testers and many many more such as people involved in human resources, publishing, Finance, licensing extra...
All those job titles were taken from the credits of the game, there is probably almost 100 people who've been involved in making this game... Do you really think that they would work for free? Somehow Behaviour Digital needs to be able to pay all these people for the DLC they have made, DLC doesn't make its self....

The only issue I have with it is the fact that this is a competitive multiplayer game, and locking off killers without giving another way to obtain them (or their teachables) poses a problem.
Teachables can be learned via a new feature called the shrine of secrets.
This is the greatest trailer I have ever seen for any DLC for any video game ever! Absolute perfection! He completely deserves to be in this game!! That music gave me chills!!!

Like, for reals though. Every time that song begins playing whether in the game or in the movie, I get chills up my spine.

Halloween is like the best slasher movie for that reason, imo it trims all the fat off the genre and leaves you with it at simultaneously its most barebones and effective. The first two Halloween films are some of my favourite films of all time and whenever I play DBD I can’t help but main Laurie and Michael. Best slasher and final girl respectively (as well as world’s weirdest sibling rivalry)

Why are people complaining about it costing money? It's DLC, it's very rare to have a free DLC. It's not like this is even a first for Dead By Daylight, the 80's suitcase is a DLC that costs money too.

It also depends on what console you have and where you buy it. If you paid out the full price on PS4 store then obviously you might not want to pay more for another character.

I really want to see Myers open the Lament Configuration. Pinhead: "You opened the Box, I CAME!" *gets promptly stabbed* . Besides, since he wants pleasure through pain and Myers doesn't feel shit....would be a really fun match up.

I swear you people complaining about the dlc.... its going to be 6.99... which is 7 fucking dollars.... are you telling me that 7 fucking dollars is TO EXPENSIVE for you? also the cost of them having to get the license to even put michael and laurie in the game costs money. be happy the dlc doesnt cost the full price of the game unlike most triple aaa titles out there that charge 60 for dlc which is only like an hours worth of content or like 4 or 5 items added.

Ensolo once you get the any new survivor to lvl 30 their unique perks are available for everyone to get in their blood web
Ensolo also you can buy those perks now from Shrine of Secrets for Shards even if you have not bought dlc ;)

The thing I love about this dlc is that it actually is DLC, its not things the devs put aside to release as seperate content. They worked hard on this and deserve every penny of the 6.99
It's only seven fucking dollars compared to maps for other games which are only maps and they're $49.99 and people are complaining for that and the workers does anyone think about them they go through a lot to bring this stuff to the game.
Damn it, as an avid Michael Myers fan I just... I'd like to play this game now. But, I dunno. Is the game really worth it?
KYF (kill your friends mode) is really fun because you can choose maps and get all the addons, SWF (survive with friends mode) is okay,but needs a lot of work, survivor mode is awesome (since it doesn't take forever),and the killer mode is awesome,but their is a lot of salty people and their bugs,but the only big bug is when you play SWF then it's forever (the devs are working on a way to fix this problem).
If your GPU is up to date like 750ti-1070FTW then the game should run good,if not than maybe it could run somehow (or just wait for the ps4 version). Yes you play against michael without the dlc, but you can't play as him though.
