Fantastic video... Well done. I learned this one when I was working as a mechanic. A lot of people do not know about the brushes in electric motors. Best to keep a rubber mallet in the vehicle. I watch my millage on all major electronic components, i.e. Alternator and Starter, and change them at their Expected End of Service Life of 100,000 miles. Better to change before they fail, then when you are on vacation.

Thank you for the question and the view. Hitting the near the fuel pump shakes the contact brushes as shown on video at 1:15 time into the video. th-cam.com/video/wurODk_njmo/w-d-xo.html
your video isn't bad, but it could be better in terms of accurate information. First, at approximately 1:52 you talk about the fuel pump and then you mention getting down the road (to repair shop). You edited the video right at this point, but you left out the part about hitting the tank (in hopes of jarring the pump into action). Contrary to what you stated, not all DC motors have brushes. There are numerous DC motors being utilized these days that are brushless.
I don't know where my fuel pump is to hit it LOL I drive a 2010 Ford sport trac does anyone here know where it's located I think about the gas tank and if that's the case well I'm screwed no pun intended 😅
The fuel pump is inside the fuel tank. The fuel tank should be close to where you put the gas in. You will probably have to lay on the ground to see and hit the tank. Good Luck.

You are correct. We were still learning how to operate the camera. The screen would go blank and we thought it stop recording. Any way... thank you for the comment and the view.
So in summary..if its blown than hit it with something after tweaking in fuse box. But why? not explained.
Thank you for the question and the view. Hitting the near the fuel pump shakes the contact brushes as shown on video at 1:15 time into the video. th-cam.com/video/wurODk_njmo/w-d-xo.html

Percussive Maintenance 101
your video isn't bad, but it could be better in terms of accurate information.
My dad used that method on me if didn't work. Lol
That's funny. thank you for the view and the comment.
💯
Thank You.
They gonna charge me 600 to change my fuel pump..
Good Luck.
your commical 😀
