    I love how this horse pins her ears for the run on the slide stop. She is so into it, saying "watch this"! Reining horses are the pinnacle of comunication between horse and rider. A loose rein, one hand and an explosive melt into the ground from a dead run...beautiful.

      It’s crazy how invisible all the cues are 😱

    the down transition from gallop to canter was simultaneous with the flying change on both circles...unbelievable!

    This video has soooo many awesome vibs and it's awesome--now to look through all the negative comments about abuse by amatur riders. e_e

      +Painting.Strides agreed. his techniques are amazing. it would be horrible if he asked for things with his hands. but he does it al with his seat and leg. this is a great example of proper use of a bit with that much leverage

      Natalie Stolyarov Exactly. Leverage bits are there to provide contact, not be abused.

    Horsemanship, simple, noble, serene, and of grandeur, is rare in our days and time. The "vanity fair" of modern equestrianism offers surrogate alternatives, elevates sham imitations to the status of supposed ideals and models.
    On the way up to success in anticipation of big money, athletes easily loose scrupel and ethics.
    Actually, the planet does not need more successful riders; the planet desperately needs horse understanders, horse whisperer, animal rights activists, storytellers and lovers of all kinds.

    Sad horse...
    a horse is an animal of such beauty; none will tire of looking at him as long he displays himself in his splendor.

      Do you honestly think that the horse wouldn't put it's head up if it wanted to? A horse's natural head position is lowered down but it obviously depends on the horse itself. An AQH is built differently than a 6ft dressage or showjumping horse. I hope you understand where I'm coming from. :)

      Training my half-lease to do reining right now. I never force his head down, he relaxes and puts it down himself. 😂

    • @jacmeespie
      @jacmeespie 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Maloves One must distinguish between two head positions:
      the grazing position, with the head lowered useful on a pasture
      and the mounted position, with the head up, appropriate under a rider
      What ever the breed: a horse is a horse, and they have all the same bones, the same muscles, the same teeth, aso...

      jacmeespie But not the same build. Compare a saddlebred and a quarter horse; two completely different builds. It really depends. Some horses just naturally have their head down, or up.

      Nonsense! Horses lower the head when they are relaxed and raise it when they are tense and unsure. You are making up excuses for your lack of horsemanship. But, sorry, maybe you like it that way...

    in my opinion, I'm not a fan of his spins I would like to see the rider follow the horse threw the spins it looked like he but way to much effort in pushing the horse through the spin making it look a lot more forced. but I like his circles and stops!

    Do you think that this horse displays himself in splendor???

    • @madisonmorris7394
      @madisonmorris7394 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. He’s very focused and committed to doing his job with precision and listening to the cues his rider gives. He’s seems very relaxed, his ears are pointed at his rider to say he’s listening. So yes, splendor :)
