No they're not passing it onto the consumer. For example the base Model 3 is 42,490. So the monthly payment with 0 down is 398 with 4,273 due at signing for taxes and fees. So you're paying 4,273 first, then a total of 14,328 for all the lease payments. That's 18601 for a car worth 42490. And then you would have to pay nearly $700 more just to purchase the car at their residual buyout of 28,522. However if you had purchased the car, even without the tax credit you'd only have around 23,000 left on the car. Leasing is still the worst option for vehicles always has been.
It's entirely dependent on an individual's needs and wants, for some leasing is a better option. But that's potentially hard to understand if you've never been in a situation where leasing would be a better option.
The numbers work if you’re trading in every 2-3 years anyway and don’t want the hassle of maintenance or repairs. I’d never do it, but my in-laws seem content with their leases.
Do trumpers buy electric cars
Elon can put his cars where the sun never shines.
Only one way to fix Tesla. Get rid of Musk. 😉
When Musk dies, Tesla stock will fall 50%+ in a single day.
Plenty of other EV companies that Musk isn’t involved in. Buy a Rivian or an EV Hummer 😂
I agree
Wholeheartedly agree!
the only reason tesla exists is bc of musk, shit other manufactures wouldn't even have EV
