Nothing like the adrenaline and shaky thumbs of a maiden flight. I just assembled mine, during bench testing I noticed it is much quieter than other EDFs I've owned. This video convinced me I can take off and land off of tight grass without issue. Nice flight 👍
That was a great maiden flight. Subscribed. I was never a fan of foam airplanes but I had to get this one and it changed my mind about foamies. It is a work of art and flies like a dream. I do fly mine much more tail-heavy than what is recommended. They recommended 110mm from the leading edge. I am flying mine at 145mm back from the leading edge. Modified for increased throws so that it can fly like the real f-16 and not a fast Cub. There is a catch. I am using AS3x with the gains turned up high. But damn can it cobra, Cobra spins, Flat spins does U-turns in the air. I had to get it really unstable to fly like I wanted which is almost 3D-like. You would never know it is tail-heavy. It won't fly without the AS3X. It will crash instantly. My turbines are the same way. I have the Bavarian Demon Cortex Gyro gains turned way up and CG super tail heavy. Thank god modern gyros are super reliable.
Wow Congratzz on your nice & smooth maiden! 👌 glad to see some grass take offs on YT. I have the same bird and waiting for good weather. I have setup throttle-based-gains like you and wondering your gains, can you share some numbers? You happy with your CG or you gonna adjust it further back? Sorry to much questions 😂 Greetings from the Netherlands
@tbg_linear9487 Yes Jon from @Twobrosrc is where I learned all my setups from. He's awesome! Using his technique makes a world of a difference on how these planes fly! Thanks!

@feelgooddany The CG feels good where its at. I may go back a little just to see how it will fly. The throttle based gains numbers are in the video at 3:00 . Thanks!
@interceptorqc7534 I don't have the Eflite 80mm but I seen a video and heard a couple say that the performance is very similar the difference being that the Eflite F-16 is a bit lighter but the performance difference is very drastic.
Question, you didn't feel it was underpowered? It's about 1lb heavier than my E-flight F-16 Thunderbirds 80mm that tops out at level flight around ~100mph.
@davidgerlach1132 Its not a speed demon that's for sure but I feel even with 6S it has enough power. I saw a video comparing the Eflite 80mm with this one and they were very close in performance. The Eflite one might slightly have the edge because it's a bit lighter but nothing drastic.
OMG my F16 flew like crap where you have the battery...Watch two Brothers video and RCGeek has excellent video's on setting up tailerons and elevons...on F16 V2...my F16 fly's like a different plane with battery placed back as far as it will go...using flaperons and elevons slows it down even more for high Alpha landings...the 8s F16 V2 performs much better verticals... Trust Me.
@williewonka1970 Jon from @Twobrosrc is where I get all my set up techniques! I've been watching him from the beginning! Dude is awesome. That's how I already knew how to set my plane up so It would fly super locked in.

Brilliant flight and review. You may have convinced me I need one!

@FarmerFpv yeah I've been working my battery back the more I fly it and also have the gyro tuned for it. It is an awesome plane! Thanks! 🫡

Hey I’m glad you’re getting bigger jets now! Let’s go! Nice flying that rocket!
@@Hype_RC yeah the bigger jets have so much more presence in the air!
very nice, nice maiden, smooth...congrats :)
Nice job!
WOW!!!

awesome flight man. please share your flaperon throws and elevator mix if there is any

She's a beaut clark
You happen to be inspired by Jon @Twobrosrc? You do alot of the stuff he does in his setup
Very nice flying in that small area, very buttery landings

You need a bit bigger space. Nice maiden
Louder is better actually. Wish there were 105mm...
Very nice job!
My question is how did you add your flaps?
@rcflyguy8514 By setting the "aircraft type"to "flapperons ". You have to separate both ailerons and put them on they're own channel.
@@RaGeRC Awesome, thanks
A beauty! Good to see this jet fly of grass, it didnt look like it needed a lot of runway? How much meters did you recogn it needs?
@@Reptielenfreak Doesn't take much to get it off the grass. No problems at all!

Do you have the eflite f-16 80mm? How its compare in term off power with this freewing f-16? Vertical performance is better?

I didn’t quite get the cg part, u say if u put the battery forward, what will happen, cg with upside down? Thank you
@@IanChen-m1o The point I was making is that the cg feels more accurate when you cg the plane upside down
@@RaGeRC oh ok! Then is u move the cg, will you move the angle of elevator?
@IanChen-m1o yes, depending on your CG
Nice. Which afterburner is that ?
@@tonyp2263 It's the Freewing tail flame from @MotionRC
What cg are you running and wich afterburner
@interceptorqc7534 It's like 10-15mm back from stock CG for this video and the afterburner is the Freewing tail flame.

This thing is shit. To slow, very heavy. Like flying a brick with wings. 90mm is not a good edf on f16s
