Dear Boxing
Please take a leaf out of the UFC's book and do not interview fighters after they have just been knocked out. Once a fighter has been concussed he needs immediate medical attention, not 10 mics shoved in his face asking him about what just happened and their future plans. Bellew repeating himself over and over again, admitting he didn't know what round the fight was stopped in and not remembering what finished him was painful to watch. After all of this he was still made to do numerous interviews in and out the ring as well as a post fight press conference. All of that stuff can wait a few days, it aint that serious!!!
He was checked by a doctor and I agree with you, in normal circumstances, if a fighter gets KO'd he shouldn't be interviewed and that normally happens in boxing. But this was an exceptional case where it was his last fight, I'm sorry but it makes total sense to interview him.

He was checked out by a qualified doctor and given permission to go home. After that, its up to Bellew himself what he wants to do. He didn't have to give interviews. He could have chosen to go home, or go to hospital, or go wherever he wanted for that matter. And if it really bothers you that much, try writing to The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC), you might get more joy than writing it in youtube comments section.

The biggest problem with boxing is the fans. That's really noticeable as you read the comments. Rather than constantly spreading hate take at look at your own life. I'm no fan boy but credit where credit is due. Bellew has done himself proud.

Which great fights has he been in? You mean the easy fights with the slow washed up haye..the toughest fight is with Usyk only.

@Daniel Smith mate totally agree haye was one of the most talented boxer in this period his problem was he beat himself in the first fight with bellew trying to throw that left hook before working on his jab and finding his range maybe he wouldn't have missed with the hooks but he was past it in the second fight and don't think bellew can take anything from that the he fought usyk in his prime and got ko
@Daniel Smith yes pal I also think wilder would beat fury I'm not a fury fan to be honest. I think in last 2 fights he looked terrible. wilder is probably quicker and more ferocious than furys other opponents and actually believes he can beet fury and don't think he will be scared to unload those be right handers. I would love to see a.j fight the winner of these to I think whoever a.j lands that big right hand on there going down but maybe he would need to lose some weight and gain abit of speed would help him with wilder though

Never been a fan of Bellew over the years but you certainly can’t question his heart or desire. Whether you like him or not he’s put on some entertaining fights over the past couple of years and for that I thank him. A very well earned retirement.
Never really liked bellew until after the haye fights I think he proved himself and iv grown to like him a lot more over the past year or so family man and down to earth honest guy and done himself pretty well so FairPlay to him 💪🤛✊

For what it is worth, I think Bellew has a lot to offer the sport in terms of being a coach or a trainer.
Someone like him would have invaluable experience and knowledge to pass onto younger fighters coming through the ranks.

No idea where all this Bellew hate is coming from, guy worked hard with what he had, took risks, over achieved and always seemed like a decent, grounded guy. Real boxing fans should be praising him for going for glory vs a p4p guy so many hadn't even heard of when he could've engineered some easy cash-out after Haye. The guy deserves respect.
He outboxed Usyk the first few rds , make no mistake . Tony is a weathered/ tired fighter and he outboxed him the first few . This is the fight I said to myself " o man, this dudes over rated " . Alot of people is gonna have there feelings hurt thinking Usyks the next big deal. As of right now I don't see it. Tony cracked him with a right after an exchange in the 2nd or 3rd and it stopped Usyk in his tracks , a HW would put him on his backfoot and if the punch didn't drop him ? The punches that followed would. I give the upmost respect for Bellew

Don't get me wrong , I respect him , admire him , and like seeing him shake things up, I just don't see him as a pure heavyweight . There's just not a pure boxing heavyweight that's tough as nails (excluding Tyson) like a Bowe in the 90s, Holyfield was just a technical God at boxing and had a heart of a lion which made me except him as a heavyweight, Lennox , Pre prison Tyson . We just don't see those type of fighters anymore

Bellew has earned everybody's respect over his last few fights. Against Usyk he gave it everything he had. The result was inevitable as Usyk is in a league of his own, but this fight was another step in getting boxing back in the limelight, where it deserves to be. Thank you Tony, Thank you Alexandr.
Insanely humble response. And impressed by his predictions on Usyk not being able to impose himself on the heavyweights due to their insane size difference. With how the Chisora fight played out, it seems he may be right about the size playing a big factor
