STUNNING Gloster Meteor F.4 ''The Yellow Peril' or 'Forever Amber'

Enjoy pilot Christian's wonderful flight at the Nordhausen EDF meeting with his Gloster Meteor F.4.
The model ist powered by two 70mm WeMoTec fans with Mega motors and 5S 4400.
The paint scheme is EE455, known as 'The Yellow Peril' or 'Forever Amber', flown by Gloster chief test pilot, Eric Greenwood to beat the air speed record, November 1945.

Love the Meteor, seriously under modelled IMHO. I managed to get hold of Dynam F8 and replaced all the electronics, flies very well indeed ! Great flight, nice video too thx !

What did you do to make it fly this well? I have one that barely gets in the air and sucks up a battery in 4 minutes

Hi there Paul, I assume you are talking about the Dynam Gloster Meteor right? I have one myself and it flies really good with some mods. In this video however you see a different plane flying, i think there were only a few prototypes available from the builder. Greetings from Belgium 🍻

@@TestPilotPaul Basically I used 2x 6S EDF units while I kept the stock ESCs. I also inserted a few small carbon rods so the outer wing panels are stiffer and I made sure that the whole tail doesn't flex at all.

Maybe I can help :) The Meteor is a prototype plane with a composite fuselage and stab plus wooden wings (composite engine nacelles and thrust tubes). Powered by two WeMoTec MiniFan Evos with Mega Motors running on a single 5S 4400 Lipo as pointed out in the description.. No foam here.
