I’m actually not too into Hexa Gear stuff. Some aspects look cool, and others not so much to me.

The Hexa Gear line is kind of Kotobukiya's private Zoids spinoff series, incorporating modularity from Frame Arms (using the titular hexagonal hardpoints) combined with their small-scale humanoid pilot figures (the Governors).
I myself wouldn't really be too much into it, either, *but* as a Zoids fan, I feel obligated to buy the insectoid-type vehicles!
What I really meant was, Hexa Gear seems like something Zoids fans would like more, so if one just likes some aspects of Zoids, then Hexa Gear isn't likely to appeal that much, in my opinion.

Megami Device actually are slightly smaller than FA Girl. I tried giving ASRA Archer's unarmoured legs to Baihu, but it didn't work. The arms mounted, but they look inhumanly skinny on Baihu. So I've concluded that if I want to display her out of her Samus-like armour, I'll just use InnocenTia's arms and legs.
Kotobukiya's marketing strategy with Megami Device is rather merciless: they come in pairs, and if you want to display both in Full Armour Mode, you would need to get two of each. And then, of course, there's the fact they release alternate-colour versions with some alternate parts after the original version release, like Low Visibility with SOL or the Aoi set with ASRA. So unless you're patient enough to wait, and you like the look of the variants, you end up spending two or three times what you originally intended -- and I liked the look of Innocentia, Hornet, Archer, and Baihu enough to order them almost as soon as they came into stock.
