Found this kit by pure chance at my local place, ended up buying it. Hyped to start it after my sazabi.

This kit is one rare instance where I actually prefer the armored mode over the unarmored one.
Something about that extra long heels just makes it look more appealing.

Finished making this kit yesterday, and it was interesting they gave Tamamo parts for Archer and Nine-Tails. With such discovery, I decided to make a custom build with Archer as the base model and used Nine-Tails mode for the back and it came out great. There are so many parts that you can make and customize a lot of things with her armor. This kit is fun to build!
Just got this in the mail today from USAGS. Been quite a few delays but the wait was worth it, can't wait to put her together.
These kits are insanely fun. I get more enjoyment from them than I do traditional mechs. They're a lot more expressive, and typically come with an absurd amount of accessories.
These kits always sell out so quick on hlj. She looks great

Just bought my Megami figure and it was a easy decision to go ahead and get her. Already currently working on a Gundam Dynames HG model. By the time I complete it I'll be ready to receive and work on this beautiful figurine. 😊

my only problem with the Megami device line is always been the rubber hands after time they just don't want to hold anything and some of the weapons that they make for them are really heavy I'm glad that the 30-minute sisters line didn't go that way but after time the rubber hands they just don't hold up

Just ordered this one a few days ago after an absolutely amazing experience with my first megami device kit (Aika Aikawa) and I’m so excited to build her when she gets here she’s probably my favorite plastic model kit I’ve ever seen just based on visuals alone

Ok so a few questions, how does this kit scale next to a 30 minutes sisters kit,what's the quality of the plastic like is it an ok durable plastic or does it feel cheaply made like a kit from frame arms girls and lastly is this kit worth the money and time to built see i already tried building two kits from both 30 minutes sisters and 30 minutes missions and overall id like to expand my horizons in terms or the armor girl genre,that's all i wanna know thanks

Is there any way to expand face options? I have almost a dozen megami device now and some connect different than others. Is there decent 3rd party support? Or do I have to mold them myself? Any tutorials on doing so?
Interestingly I haven’t seen any third party company come out with just sets of different face option parts for these kits. Seems like it would be a good idea, right?
@@ZakuAurelius they do it for 30MS and they’re awesome, but these mecha musume from koto are top tier. It’s an old idea to duplicate Gundam parts(I think you have a tutorial on it) and I was intending to apply that to the faces and sculpt from there, but that’s a lot of work.
somehow i prefer the alternate smaller chests more. also the fully covered one can be used if u want a more tame/safe display
Furreal, Tamamo and Nine Tails are just a bit too much for my tastes. Glad they come with the more reasonable Ninja and Archer chests as spare parts...

Shoulder blade parts are recommended to be glued, but it’s not necessary!

TBH I like these kits way better than 30ms kits because you literally have to buy the extra parts separately and sometimes some of the option is out of stock...which is very annoying.
I rather spend 9000 yen at once than spending couple 1000 yen here and there....

Hey, so I know this is a question more about the line itself, but here goes. For reference, I have several 30 MM/MS kits. I've heard megami armor and weapons are somewhat compatible with 30 MS, but body and limb pieces are much less compatible. I'd just like to know a little more about it. Im very new to the hobby in general. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've looked, and I haven't found much in terms of details on that topic. I'm mainly concerned about the compatibility of armor between lines since, for me, that's the main draw of MD, but i would like to know what the compatibility issue is between limbs. Sorry for long Q, but if anyone knows, it would be a lot of help
Hey no problem! And welcome!
So most of the compatibility comes from both 30MS and Megami Device using a lot of 3mm pegs for connecting armor and accessories. Also, the handles of weapons are similar in size so anything hand-held should work. This also goes for Kotobukiya’s MSG weapon and option parts, and Frame Arms Girl. And on the Bandai side many of the HG weapon sets and 30MM sets utilize 3mm pegs as well.
The reason why the limbs and body parts are less compatible is because the connections and proportions don’t match up. For that you need to actually modify parts to get anything to work.

This thing is sickkk but i chose to go with two ATK Girl Shadow Hunters instead of this one Megami Device. Good choice? Comment on my stupidity below.

I have built both the a.t.k. Girls that i got, the cross-frame wonderwoman, the 30ms tiash, AND the tamamo no mae. And honestly, in my opinion, the A.T.K. girls were worth every single fucking baht. The quality is second only to kotobukiya’s as i’m not a fan of bandai’s 30ms, and they come at a much lower price range as well as two whole models (an armored and unarmored) with most kits. So, with due respect, i think you’re comment is full of shit. A.t.k. girls 10/10.

I’m sorry, you’re not full of bullshit, the tamamo no mae is definitely better than all these and if you can afford TWO atk girls then you should be able to afford the tamamonomae. BUT STILL, while the tamamonomae is better, you do technically get more bang for your buck with the atk girls.

Maybe it's because I'm familiar with Koto option parts and the bad builds that can result when you use too many, but this kit looks like an amateurish kitbash. There are parts connected in structurally unsound ways (eg. archer's leg armor holding rapid raider panels) and too many degrees of freedom that contribute to fiddly posing. Compare this to a Alice Gear Aegis kit like Sitara where there is also a lot going on but all the parts are designed specifically for that kit, so they look coherent and are solid when posing.
I suspect a lot of that comes down to concept and realization. The earlier Asura kits were relatively straight forward designs that didn't try to cram much into the kit, whereas with Kyuubi and this one, it feels like they're trying to stretch the popularity of Ninja/Archer and create permutations by just throwing more at it. The coming AUV Susanowo is not quite as extreme in that regard and has a more coherent look to it, but I DO feel there's a bit of that "release something cause we know we're printing money" thing with some of the Megami Device stuff lately...
When they have a more fleshed out/well designed ideas(better when the artist themselves are familiar with the mecha-girl subject and know how to balance the mechanical with the organic, and Alice Gear Aegis has a decent catalog to draw from), it can be pretty awesome, but there's definitely some flops in the line.
@@maqywhaq I totally agree. Koto realized the popularity of the Asra line and seems like they're trying to release variants using the fewest new runners as possible. So many recent megami device are retooled variants of previous kits with a MSG accessory thrown in.

@@rokushou There is already another recolor of nine tails on its way so it is to be expected that the Asra series were a huge success compare to the earlier theme release with the Wism series as they were a little to basic in design and personality face expressions.

Sorry but all those retooled rapid raider parts hanging off the back of her just look messy, they've not even tried to hide all the pegs and it just makes the whole thing look like a toy rather than a model kit. I think Kotobukiya's designs are at their best when they're much simpler just due to how clunky their connector pieces and peg holes look.
I mean you can just fill the pegs in or leave them for extra customization.
I kinda agree. Really cool characters and color design for this one but the backpack just seems kinda slapped together

Chest is just way too exaggerated but thankfully there's the normal archers chest pieces included. I'd love this kit but it's just too much $$ to justify T_T
Unfortunately that's how it is these days with covid and the fact alot of people are buying them all as there is a chance that there will be a shortage of them, At this point it's ether sink or swim if you really love the design I would suggest grab one while you still can before you regret it down the road as I have.
