The youtuber who took it apart (the one with 3-video series on this keyboard) , if you notice he never finished it or fully repaired it --- -its a temp repair. You need grease which eats away the silicone over time. So rinsing it with water wont last for long, but maybe post an update

Man, I just left the pawn shop and they had a CME X8. $600...I never heard of CME and was trying to find info on them but this guy walked in and bought it right from under my nose. You got yours for $80!!!!
I found UF7 on eBay dirt cheap for $90.. Good condition yet several matters. 4-5 dead keys & usb connection not operational. Midi connection is operational. Self project to repair

I just ordered from Thomson UK the UF400e board for a reasonable price (when I selected US shipping, the price dropped like 10 percent or so automatically, not a currency thing either, the price in euro dropped!~). They have a B stock 'used' board in with warranty btw. I wondered, what have you found will work with this. I can use a notebook, I even have a small net top I could use with it. Have you found a way to use an Android or iPad with it?

Great video Chris, I tried using the UF 5 to control my IPad Air 2, Garage Band and I-Grand apps, but it just wouldn’t work. Just to point out that there is nothing wrong with my usb connection as it works perfectly fine on my Alesis V49. Can u or anyone else tell me what might the problem be.
I have a UF8, but I've had problems with the velocity where it sounds too soft. I can change to a different velocity curve but it's not a great workaround. The dynamics is also uneven where the black keys are louder. Also the touch/action is not completely even. And the sound the keys make when pressing down and releasing can be slightly different. But your demonstration don't seem to show any velocity issue...so maybe I have a bad unit or some of these keyboards have the problem, others don't. I haven't had the sticking problem though (haven't played it much through the years).

I bought a used cme uf 80 without manual. How can I get it to sound. I connected the usb cable to my laptop. Do I need to install a software. How can I connect it to a powered speakers. Please help me out. Thanks.
Drivers didn't go past Win XP. Do you lose most features using only a Midi cable into a PC platform? Yeah, I did a video to clean the nylon bushings and drill them to spec and lube them again. Only to swell again over time.

This was the best demonsstration video I've seen so far because I just got one of these and I watched one video where the guy explained everything about how to use one of these and then it has to be hooked up to program software but your video actually showed me how to hook it up without the video software program and play it using another format but your format is kind of high tech as well I did like your video you play piano pretty well dude thumbs up 👍
This is sad. Not only is someone fueling his ego…there seems drama afoot. It is enough to know that you found one at a thrift store and you cleaned the keys. Thousands have done this, just not with a UF8. Concentrate on the instrument rather than boast about your good fortune.

The UF8 is very nice but not on par with the UF10. Buy it if a good price.
