amazing they played in sweden around the same time in helsingborg were i lived at that time, larry goldings played on my organ that i lended to the jazzclub where they played, and i got the honor to go and get the band at their hotel just down the hill were they lived😀😀
I have seen them a long time ago in the basement of the Ancienne Belgique. They started after midnight. Classic jazz vibes. Small club smoky and swinging till the early morning 🔥💨
Anytime you play a James Brown groove…it’s gonna be funky…especially when Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley are leading the way!!! Personally, I can’t think of a James Brown tune I don’t like…but my absolute favorite…is “ColdSweat”. To me…that’s The Funkiest James Brown tune of all times. Ain’t it funky now! 🕶🥁🎶🎼🎵🎤🎹🎸🎭
Wow at the beginning the guitar is not in the mix at all. It’s so obvious that he is playing and the sound personell doesn’t even notice. Another reason why I’ve stopped gigging. Guitarists notoriously get hosed in the mix unless it’s a metal or rock act
I was in the audience that day!

No bass player? Not worth it.
Neither is your comment. Pathetic ignorance.
B3 sounds great. And I'm a bass player.
