    Very nice. Remember my brother geting this game for Christmas. Bought the game again, bigbox, last year, for my brother as a birthday present.
    Porting the game to unity would make it easier to run on modern hardware.

    all i hope is that you will create the removed shortcut in Knightmare Athon so i can die happy.
    Also, a quick easy way you can possibly get the tracks into sketchup so i can use them for a game i am modding myself?
    it's called zero gear. pretty much a game no one plays.
    A file blender can read is also fine.
    Would be pretty cool.

    This looks really cool, I started a unity project a few months ago to try and remaster Lego Racers 1 and 2. I've streamlined importing Bricklink's studio models into Unity, I have both game files and tried running them on a Windows 7 VM for refences but haven't pulled any game data out of them. I'll have to look into these and see if the tools will work for LR2. Also it would be a honor to help you with this project if you need it, can't wait to see how far you go with it.

      To extract the game data from LR2 you'll need to use this tool rockraidersunited.com/topic/5165-ungtc/ drag the folder that contains "GAMEDATA.GTC" onto ungtc.exe.. I also came across this blender loader if you plan on importing assets into blender github.com/loryruta/lr2-blender-loader

    Keep remaking!!! I will say, the size of the car relative to the track seems a bit off. Also theres a shortcut that I didnt see in the kingdom track

    Hello, Great job ! It makes me wanna try to go deep in remaking the game with today's standards but all the gameplay part will drive insane for sure. But first I started to take a look a the 3D because this is something I know. I would like to know how you get the textures back on the circuits properly. Did you unwrap it all manually and get the materials at the right place or did you manage it with another method ? Maybe I just missed a step into the extraction setup, I'm not sure. This would help me a lot !

    Also, when i put the GBD in the converter, it doesn't save the texture/color for me, any idea why?

    Hi, I tried to open the .PLY converted track file in blender but there are no textures, only the grey model. Did you have the same issue or how did you fix it?

      It's been a while since I've touched this project, but I've uploaded some of my assets here github.com/TayIorSwift/LegoRacers
      I cannot remember having any texturing issues but you can always assign textures to parts of the map in unity by dragging the relevant sprite onto the gameobject, this will automatically create a material for it 👍

      Do you mean the JAM extractor? To extract LEGO.JAM drag and drop the file onto the Jam Extractor 👍

      ​@@simonspajzer Perhaps I did a bad job of explaining how that batch file works, and without seeing your folder structure I wouldn't be able to help much.
      I had the Extracted JAM contents, alongside the BMP converter program and the custom batch file in a folder as seen at 2:52.
      The batch file has two paths that point to the GAMEDATA and MENUDATA folders, these will need to be modified to point to where they are located on your specific computer and finds any file of the BMP format and runs the ExtractBMP.exe progam on it, which doesn't need a path to point to it as it is in the same folder as the bat file.
      Another method would be to drag and drop the "Broken" BMP files onto the converter, however this will only do 1 at a time.
      If you would like I could upload all the converted BMP files for download for you
