I've got two WB utes, just had a look at the doors are they are the same as the one you are working on for the wagon, no inner panel along the top edge, holes for the statesman inner door handles & the two holes up where the window winder goes.
Yeah right, they must have gotten their pressings somewhat right. This door is definitely a Taiwanese door, it’s easy to tell because it says made in Taiwan on it. There’s a few other differences. The door hinges are chalk and cheese to original ones. Also the inner structure around the door hinges are 1mm where it should be 1.6 does yours have holes for the remote mirror? This door having the holes for the statesman door trim you’d think they would of put that in as well being aftermarket.
I reckon it's worth you making up a shorter video on just identifying the differences between the doors as it's valuable info (perhaps use a voice over with the clips from this one) - would be a handy reference and hopefully get yourself some extra traffic ;)
I did think of doing it that way, There was a few things left out. But I didn’t want to it just be only information. I’d probably re film it all over if I did it again so it’s not as rehashed.
side intrusion bars were only ever introduced to non commercial passenger cars BECASUE THEY DID NOT HAVE A FULL LENTH CHASSIS. Its not a chink door . its just a holden spare part post production. Holden made panels in 2002 and 2003 for hq-wb as a last run
Very informative video

What is the tool you used to bend the door skin away from the frame?
Modified nail pliers 😉
I thought so. Have you got any photos of them and how you modified them?
Why do you guys bend the edge of the doors back like that just grind the cu&t so much quicker and less damage
