these channels are really great for educating homeowners as to the amount of thought, stress and effort that goes into this kind of work. it helps them understand better why they are paying what they are paying
Very interesting explaining that transition in the driveway. Those steep slopes can be very challenging. You and your crew Tom are true professionals. Videos are great. Super job.
That seal job did look like a fresh pour. Its good to see Elliot do what you said, almost exactly. The youngsters I deal with most always do what they think is right. Before learning. You have a great crew.
Great team, everyone knows what to do. That is a reflection on you! I’m always amazed at how your guys pitch in at the right time and know exactly what needs to be done.
🤩🤩🤩😎😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏👋👋👋🙋🌞🌞
Ryan just has laborers (have to tell them what to do and what the next steps are every time). This crew of guys are actually skilled finishers/skilled laborers/skilled form setters. Everyone knows the next steps without having to be asked. Gotta love that
Every contractor has their way of doing things ! Shouldnt be casting aspersions on other crews from what is seen in a 25 minute video ! A lot of concrete crews out there that would work circles around this crew just dont know because not everyone is on YT !!!
Tom, two years ago I moved into a new house. The driveway is approximately 15 years old. I don't know if it was ever sealed since it was put in. Is it ever too late to start sealing to prevent further damage? Where is your sealer available at? I live in Southern Michigan. Love your videos.
I wonder if there is a laser that could layout the cut lines for the concrete? Then you wouldn’t need to chalk line the concrete. Thinking out of the box. 😁
How do you keep the rebar off the ground? We recently cut out a section of our drive to run new conduits, and when we did, we noticed the wire mesh was on the ground and not inside the conduit.
GOOOOOOD MAAAANIN YINZERS!! 😂 Nice work Tom & crew What did y’all come up With for pouring that side walk to the house ? Were you able to talk the builder into wider/shallower angle? Anyways, as always thanks for sharing & schooling us Have a day 😊
Morning Tom, Do you find that most builders and or homeowners go with your suggestions when "tweaking" their layouts? I'm sure a few just have to be right in their eyes and say just leave it. 35 years of correcting ideas----most would just tell you to fix it😂😂
Getting the jobs prepped is as important as the pour itself and you and the crew leave nothing to chance, the site is prepared and ready for concrete and the professional touch is evident on every job.
On the slope, keep it tight!! The ripple or wave effect really does suck. I can prove that!! For decades i traveled a concrete road that joined 2 buildings w a shed in the middle. The ripples would shake the indoor forklifts so hard that the materials on the forks would bounce off the forks. Had to go granny speed the whole way. I hated that concrete!! Sure is nice to see a real professional do it correctly. What i experienced was a Total Failure!! Just a Total Failure!! Poured too wet and left to set wout tending it until it could stay smooth - a Total Failure!! Lol, i heard that the other day...Total Failure!! Oh how important it is to keep clean, salt free, and resealed every couple years. I just witnessed that truth right here. What did Tom say? "Looks like we just poured it!" There it is, the secret to keeping beautiful concrete beautiful for decades and decades. I did so enjoy today's video. Great stuff!! Thanks Tom and guys, and Emily!! See ya on the next post!!👍❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲 A Total Failure it is, Total Failure!!😂
I love that your channel is realistic with the obvious problem solving of daily work, but its not filled with personal conflict or silly drama. I am a female, but that kind of channel does not interest me at all.
I don't understand the rerod, all the concrete work I have done , we just use wire mesh never had a problem with cracking. It seems just a wasted expense
if the other guys keep the excess concrete out of his way, he is not pulling much weight. they are helping but not actually on the screed notice it is almost level before he ever screeds it.
Another fine display of concrete workmanship
Thanks
That’s a lot of cement around that pool. Your right though Tom looks nice and fresh now👍
Thanks 👍

We agree!
15 years later and it looks fresh installed - that's what Tom always brings to the job!
Very interesting explaining that transition in the driveway. Those steep slopes can be very challenging. You and your crew Tom are true professionals. Videos are great. Super job.
Thanks 👍
Awesome work on the driveway and the sealer made everything look like new around that pool!!
I think so too!
That seal job did look like a fresh pour. Its good to see Elliot do what you said, almost exactly. The youngsters I deal with most always do what they think is right. Before learning. You have a great crew.
He really did turn into a good worker
Preparation is more than half the battle and is therefore the key to a good job.
Cool as a cucumber 🤗. I have seen many times, concrete contractors go 😵💫🤯 when the mixer shows up. Lots of respect sir 💐.
Thanks 👍
Another nice job, Tom. Love your channel 👊🏻
Thanks 👍
My thoughts! These men take pride in a job well done. They stand by their work and take pride in what they do!
Great team, everyone knows what to do. That is a reflection on you! I’m always amazed at how your guys pitch in at the right time and know exactly what needs to be done.
We all try our best on the teamwork

Beatiful wish you guys where closer to me! 😍🤩
You great work my friends😊😊
Victory needs to show his employees how to work. Your crew works and works together.
These guys out work victory they do twice as much work a week maybe more.
It's all about leadership! The team is a reflection of the leader. Sorry Ryan (I know you watch this channel!)
@@wuhala100 Ryan needs to stop babying his crew and start working them .
Ryan just has laborers (have to tell them what to do and what the next steps are every time). This crew of guys are actually skilled finishers/skilled laborers/skilled form setters. Everyone knows the next steps without having to be asked. Gotta love that

Better late than never Carroll Supply is a good place to start or check with your local Readymix supplier. Do not get it from a big box store.
Thank you very much!@@Concretewiththehauses
How many yards of concrete does a normal truck hold?

Tom no fiberglass rebar?
Did you see fiberglass rebar?

Because you don't understand does not make it a wasted expense...... Go back to your recliner and leave it to the professionals
👋🏻
Tom ,do you ever consider a man on each side of screed giving yourself a little break?
