    Ok this is so clever! I was just shopping for slip-on grips and wondering if I could make my own somehow, and I guess I manifested your video. Thanks for the great ideas!!

    My Boye hooks are so smooth and easy and paid for. I tried a set of cushioned hooks but was disappointed in how my yarn dragged on them. The grips available online are expensive for an entire set of hooks.Your idea is ingenious and I already have yarn and hot glue! THANKS

    I LOVE the coating it with hot glue look - it’s like budget resin without hazards fumes too! Thanks for sharing. I’m definitely gonna try!

    This old woman thanks you for this video. I crochet everything almost fourteen hours a day and night since I turned 73. I found crocheting stopped my hands from becoming increasingly weak. But my old Susan Bates Tunisian hooks were cutting into my fingers because I'm lefthanded, so I'm hold my hooks differently than a righthanded person does.
    I did everything, but you're smart way of thinking by using yarn is fantastic. I was using the first-aid kit to wrapped my hooks which became a big mess. The heat from my hand would get the tape sticky.
    Loved your ideas...so much better.

    Thank you so much for these fantastic ideas! Question on the blink one, Do you think it should be covered with hot glue so you still see the bling but you don't come in contact with the rhinestones on your hand or accidentally remove the rhinestones? Lastly how does the hot glue feel against your hands While you're crocheting is it tacky at all? And have you ever done a video showing how you did the crochet hooks covered with rubber bands? I love what you did!😁

    • @NilerTaylor-relindesigns
      @NilerTaylor-relindesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Jill for your reply, to answer your questions, the crochet hook that I covered with bling, I love it...it is one of my favorites. The rhinestones don't bother me and they are comfortable. If you cover the with glue, the glue is opaque and you will not be able to see the rhinestones. As far as the hot glue coming in contact with your hands, it is not tacky but smooth. I hope this answers your questions. Happy Crocheting!

    Wow those are cute! One thing I will say is hot glue I've used does yellow over time, it takes a few years but it will look dull and yellowy. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone wants to take it into account. I wonder if the glitter glue sticks would look good?

    • @NilerTaylor-relindesigns
      @NilerTaylor-relindesigns  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, it may yellow, but you would be more concerned about the function of the hook, verse the look. If the yarn is covering the glue, you won't see the yellowing anyway, and if the glue is covering the yarn, the yellowing will just blend into the color of the yarn underneath....Happy Crocheting!

    After I got my crochet hooks ergonomic, for Christmas, I was ready to tackle the world of yarn but it collapsed! I can’t use those crochet hooks with some patterns , for example on a braid pattern where you have to do treble crochet stitches or long stitches, they don’t work ! The front part of hook isn’t long enough, you can’t add too many stitches like on a regular hook ! I like ergonomic bcoz it helps my arthritic hands but they don’t do job like regular ones . Maybe I need to invest in the Furls crochet hooks !
