These are beautiful. I was watching so i could see how to apply the epoxy, since it's not something I've done before. Do you have a video that details that, by chance?
The spinning thing is the attachment you will use to spin the hooks on the turner. I have a video on how I epoxy pens and in that video you can see how I use it on the turner. If you want to see it behind the scenes feel free to email me and we can set-up a time so I can show you 🥰 jesshandmadedesigns@gmail.com
Yes you want to apply a little resin at a time so it won't be too much. You don't want the resin to Drip onto another item while it's spinning. When it's spinning the resin is leveling itself out. Let it cure and then apply more resin of you need to. I do about 2-3 coats of resin for my hooks and sometimes my pens too. This is why thin layer of Epoxy is better than apply thick coats of it at a time.
Thanks so much that's really helpful 🥰 how long does your epoxy take to cure? Iv never used it befor and have purchased an amazing crochet hook with resin but I can't afford a whole set 😢 and I would love them to be my favourite brand hook as well 🤣 x
@@emiegames8603 I believe I have the link with the epoxy I used in rhe description box. I also use a fast set of Epoxy too but each epoxy has their own drying time.
Hey there so ya I’m from Setta’s channel and u had mentioned to me about this vid 😜 This is awesome. I really have never much worked with epoxy though so could u maybe sometime make a video showing the epoxy part of how you apply to hook and what exactly this spinner thing is and how that works for this too? Cause I really don’t understand how the spinner thing works in vid and how exactly to apply the epoxy 🤪 These are so lovely 🥰 Thank you for sharing. 💜🫶💜🫶💜
How about we schedule a 1 to1 meeting that way you can see behind the scenes and etc. Also, you can ask me as many questions about resin and the turners and such. Email me at jesshandmadedesigns@gmail.com I have other resin work videos too so you can see the turner more better.
I have the same question. I don’t know how the epoxy was applied after the glitter, she also mentioned she applied glitter glue and I’m not sure how she did that. I also have no idea what the spinner is. The hooks are so gorgeous but I’m still not sure how to make them after watching the whole videos 😅
Wait for the epoxy to be completely dry (depending on what your epoxy cure time is) I applied a thin coat of the glitter glue and wait until it was completely dry. If you don't have that type of glue you can do a coat of clear sealer spray paint.
I recommend getting a turner they have a budget friendly one and then get the attachment. Also, depending on your epoxy you mix and apply a thin layer of epoxy on the hooks and let it spin. I have a pen tutorial on my channel and it's the same way I apply the epoxy on to the hooks.
@nazilynn_l glitter the same way....but you have to press down with a glove finger or roll it with a parchment paper to make sure the chunky glitter is flat. You will have to to multiple layers of epoxy. And sand where you need to sand. Wash it let it dry and apply epoxy.
Those are absolutely the most beautiful hooks ever!! 🥰😍🥰
Thanks so much 😘

Hi jess these are beautiful, how do you put the resin on after the glitter? I'm so new to this and no idea what the spinny thing is for
Thank you

Amazing thank you so much! So you put the resin on with your finger then in the turner, is that to stop it dripping and miss shaping while it cures?

I ❤ Glitter. 😂 How was the epoxy added to the hooks? Is there an alternative to not having a spinning thing?
I recommend getting a turner they have a budget friendly one and then get the attachment. Also, depending on your epoxy you mix and apply a thin layer of epoxy on the hooks and let it spin. I have a pen tutorial on my channel and it's the same way I apply the epoxy on to the hooks.
Can you just glitter over the handle of a clover hook? Or will the resin not adhere to the rubber handle of them?
You will need something to adhere to the glitter to the hook.
HOW CAN I GET SOME OF THESE HOOK. I want to buy some. I saw the ones you made for Setta.
