That was a big surprise. There had been loads of schoolies along that bit of coast. I knew I had a chance as the doggies weren't there. Not my PB tho. I've had one 8lb 2oz a couple of years ago 👍
Enjoying your films very much. However I don’t understand why you give the fish so much slack line by moving the rod down before you start winging, and why you real so slowly. Thanks for the effort you put it though.
The reason is after the initial bite, I give the fish time to get the bait fully inside it's mouth. As it then "Runs" I tighten into it. Once hooked I reel in slowly incase it runs again, this is where the tide and surf can pull the hooks out if your too aggressive. Hope this helps.
