Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video. I confess I had tried on the 38mm Orion and was ready to pull the trigger because it's such a beautiful watch, but you're absolutely right - 35mm is the better choice for most people. I've also got 7.25" wrists and the 35mm that I ended up purchasing is absolutely perfect.
I’m a little late to the game, but you guys really pushed me off the fence to get a Nomos Orion with this video! The elegance of the thin profile and simple dial make the Nomos Orion a excellent wristwatch to wear under a dress shirt cuff! Thank you two for posting such a great, honest video review of such a classy timepiece!
I owned this exact same watch a few years back - it is truly amazing! I only sold it because I told myself I wouldn't have too many watches in my collection and moved it on because it wasn't as versatile as my sport watches, like Omega and Rolex. That said, I think I will add another Nomos back into my collection as a standalone dress watch. You're absolutely right about the size ... Nomos watches are well known for wearing larger because of their longer lug-to-lug length and it's all dial, slim bezels. I'll also just add that Nomos is a SERIOUS watchmaker, these guys ought to be taken seriously. They produce over 10 in-house movements and if I recall from when I did research into my previous Orion purchase, Nomos regulates their watches to six positions. They have their own standard of "COSC" certification ... Not only is your watch extremely elegant, it's also very accurate.
The Ludwig forever overlooked. Good video :) Also, love that you show wrist shots from both first person and third person. Very few videos show the watch from a third person perspective!
Love this watch. I've seen people dress this watch down with a light brown suede strap and looks perfectly fine matched with some jeans and a button-down. I've been wanting this watch for a while now. After watching this I think it's time to pull the trigger. 35 is the perfect size for this watch.
I have the Tangente 35, it's a beautiful watch, wear it very occasionally, usually on dates with the wife - totally agree with your comments on the Horween strap 👌
I have the Orion 35 rose on black Cordovan strap and absolutely love it. Perfect size for my 6.5 inch wrist. The rose color is more of a Champaign color and the gold indices look great. I work in finance also and it is my watch I get the most complements on. Couldn't recommend it more. Bought used...
I had to go with the Orion 38 Datum because I can't stand the blind spot under the subdial. If there would be a smaller golden baton I would have picked the 35 mm as well. The advantage of the 38 mm with date is the newer movement with Nomos' own proprietary escapement called "Swing System".
I gave my wife a 35 mm orion and she loves it. My wife is a luthier and does not want a tiny women's watch, but does not want to walk around with a bulky Sub either...
Thank you so much for showing and speaking out for a smaller watch! I have very slim wrists and it is so hard to find smaller watches and even dress watches that look elegant and unobtrusive (meaning in a total view on the wrist). And congrats to this beauty!
it's interesting isn't it, that there are so many watch "reviews", yet none of them actually review the core function of a watch which is keeping time. They just shove it on their wrist and talk about why they like the watch...Fair enough, but you cannot call it a review...
There are now ADs in the U.S. I recommend trying them on. After trying the various watches I ended up with the 35mm Tangente. Full disclosure, I'm an older gent who works in an office.
I started watching you guys because the name of the channel reminded me of not just the old saying, but the Guy Ritchie movie. Now I'm in, so the name change doesn't bother me. Also, the fan? How loud are people watching TH-cam? I don't hear it, while having no trouble understanding everything you say. Watching this it crossed my mind to get one of these as a gift for my sister. You say it has presence because of the lugs. My question is this: could those lugs be an issue for a smaller wrist?
I love Nomos and its designs. But 35mm is too small for me, wrist size of 19cm-20cm. Nomos Ahoi in Orange with 40mm -> Gral for me. Yes I am one of the weirdos who love orange watches ;=)
If they can avoid trying to 'improve' with the FB 'sponsored' articles appearing in my news feed discussing FB groups in competition to them. I probably continue to watch.
How is that related to the quality of the video whatsoever? If you're gonna comment about quality then complain about something else then by all means take your rants elsewhere. I'm not siding with anybody but if you're trying to be objective then stay that way. Good day.
nice watch. trouble is guys, all you do are nice watches. time for some real ugly pieces of utter nonsense. not at all for a giggle (probably) but just to give a more considered view on the watch industry as a whole.
I've got a faded out old guns n roses t-shirt from the mid 90's with a huge curry stain down the front I could send and you could review. it's ugly as hell! just have to figure some horological angle to make it relevant???

I just tried on the Nomos Metro in 35mm today. That size is perfect for my 6" wrist. I love love love this watch. Thank you!

You guys are my favorite gay couple on youtube!
Thank you for the review guys. Just bought one.
I love the Orion in 35mm. I think that it's a watch that really works in the more traditional size.
5.9 Inches wrist Here
Is the35mm theversion for me?
Thanks
How do you open its back? As there are no slots on it.
So impressed with Nomos and the Orion is the one I'd go for.

It is so difficult to find something you like in this world. I'm glad you found the perfect watch for you! 35 mm....Hmmmmm. Something to think about.
I want an Orion so bad that watching this video didn't help, it just properly wound me up 😁

Great review. When you say it's delicate, does that mean an activity like running to catch the bus will damage the watch? Also, wristwatch check!
Sorry if you already said but what time does the Orion keep?

Review about the Nomos, but I was paying more attention to that Ball Moonglow again ;)

can't hear the fan because I have mine set to max right beside me.
my wrist size 16cm : 35 vs 38mm ????
Bump Blue 35
@@tententock thank you !
Datejust 2 is my guiltiest pleasure, such a shame it gets such hate but I get it

Properly Wound Yeah, just busting your chops. Sorry. Haha.

Magic the gathering dude meets watches
Almost didn't click this video who are these "properly wound" guys lol
This movement is based on ETA/Peseux 7001.
Don't run the fan please, it's really bad for your content being watchable, makes me think it's time to perhaps check some other faces!
so the strap is made of horse...

Reasonable video but not up to Urban Gentry standard IMHO
They're at 2.6k subs, give them time to grow. They'll improve. Pretty sure this is way better than UG when he had 2.6k...

Urban Gentry is an annoying prat...To each their own I guess...

Nice girls watches.
Am I the only one that doesnt like this watch?
