- Dirty casual play reigns supreme as we take a look at all final smashes and rank them from my least favorite to favorite.

What if they add weaker final smashes for the final smash meter though I mean think about it, boyonettas final smash is verty powerful if you use it well, doctor mario gets expanding pills, it just makes sense.

I think ROB’s original final smash is what happens when the Virtual Boy gets your eyes.
While I agree with a lot of this, Roy's final smash is actually pretty faithful, the animation he does is amlost the exact same as his crit animation from his game with his personal weapon. It's pretty cool.
Pf987 Yeah, I would kinda want Roy to keep the Critical Hit. Imo, Marth could have his final smash be him bringing in an ally to fight in his stead temporarily, in this case, Tiki. Essentially, Tiki would show up, transform, and fight kinda like Yoshi or Charizard X do.
Michael Besser Rou does have the critical hit, but it's his critical hit from Fire Emblem 6 while using his special weapon, the Binding Blade.
A Glass of Purified Water Last Name I'm aware, but that is really only a small change, kinda like how Wolf's Landmaster is red. I get that everyone thinks that that means it is an entirely different Final Smash, but that doesn't really make it creative in any sense. It just means that they at least put in enough effort to change the appearance and some of the basic properties of the move. That doesn't mean it took any more creativity in the design of the move itself.
As for a solution to this, unfortunately Roy doesn't really seem to have anything else that would work, so kinda out of luck there. I guess Marth's could be changed so that Tiki subs in and fights for a bit, and, as a Divine Dragon (in the original and Shadow Dragon), she would understandably be powerful. I know she appears again in Awakening, but Tiki kinda seemed to have a stronger connection to Marth than Lucina.
As for Lucina, you have a few options. Since that game allows for tons of reclassing, you could give Lucina something like Astra, Lethality, etc.

true. i still remember my hype when super star ultra came out and booting it up on the ds lite i got 3 weeks ago on my birthday. helper to hero was some of the best momments of my life. return to dreamland had cool graphics and all but It did dissapoint me to.

Return to Dreamland is awesome. The level design is creative, the soundtrack fits perfectly, and the graphics are ridiculously sharp for a Wii game. Mister Woz think it generic? FFFFFUUUUUUUUU

As a Kirby fan I honestly found Return to Dream Land to still be fun, albeit underwhelming. Seeing the formula reach near perfection in Planet Robobot was wonderful, though.

Mega mushroom is not an item in the game. Super mushroom is though. Most final smashes just remove transformation items' effects before performing the final smash.
If theres a new smash they should have mario throw cappy from Odyssey at a character making them switch places and have mario copy their final smash
In Super Smash Flash 2 version 0.8 and earlier, Mario transformed into fire Mario for his final smash, and it looked boring, but it was fucking wicked.

Honestly. Kirby's Smash 4 final smash is just a copy of Link and Toon Link's, whereas Cook was far more interesting.

Shulkicide, not all of the final smashes kill at zero. Look at most of the final smashes in the video, like Peach, Wii Fit Trainer, Mario, Dr. Mario, Dedede, etc. By the way, Dedede's final smash can be escaped by spamming the dodge button.

I main Jigglypuff too. Her final smash works wonders on smaller stages, like Final Destination. Then she gets so but she covers the whole stage, and pushes everyone off.
Roy should be MUCH higher. That pose is his critical hit animation, fire included. It's literally ripped from his own game. Absolutely should be higher.

...In terms of canonicity, sure. But it's so much less _useful_ than Negative Zone was. And it misses a LOT.
1) But saying it "does nothing" because he missed is like saying Meta Knight's does nothing because you missed with it.
2) Bombs get thrown around in Kirby games. Just because they aren't spit out of the hammer is hella splitting hairs.
3) Then that *exact same justification* applies to PK Starstorm.
4) You _might_ be able to run away on a large stage (if you don't get a paralyzing effect). But you'll _probably_ take a bunch of damage before you do.

Kirby Kraver a little late to the party, but Dedede's final smash actually does exist in the kirby games. It's a reference to a lesser known minigame from Kirby's Adventure where Dedede lobs both eggs and bombs at you using his hammer. Just wanted to clarify that for you

All of the final smashes are boring and none of them are visually appealing. He mentioned in the video how he prefers final smashes that reference something in the games and Roy's is definitely true to his game. It feels like he cut Roy's final smash short in my opinion.

For Peaches Final Smash, if you know what you’re doing, then a fully charged Smash attack almost never happens in a normal match. Not to mention you can heal 60 health and get a free kill if the opponent is off stage.
I feel like even with those perks, Scott will not visually see it as a good final smash overall since its a smash original. Not a franchise original

Well, if you've never played a Bayonetta game, and you're using her Final Smash for the first time, you're gonna be confused as all hell and probably won't be able to use it effectively, so yeah, it kind of sucks for newer players.

So, I actually like Marth's the best for one specific reason. It deals 60 damage.
Now modern Emblemiers won't understand why, but up until Awakening came out, an enemy can only have a maximum of 60 HP.
Pay very close attention to how much damage Marth does. It would make sense that dealing 60 damage would yield an OHKO.

Great Aether is based off his regular Aether skill in his games, where he tosses his sword in the air and slashes down. And Roy's is more unique than Marth's because its his crit animation with his Sealed Sword.

So...most here's either no originality or no reference?
Well, 'no originality' refers to the actual in-game move. The desired result is a move that makes a good reference to the source material, but plays in a unique way. For example, how the Wii Fit Trainer and Doctor Mario's smash both reference their original games, but are mechanically just copies of Mario's, and thus, mechanically, not that interesting.
If characters had multiple selectable final smashes, like the custom moves, that'd be Pretty Neat... but also a fair bit of programming. Though you don't need to spend too much time balancing it anyways, since they aren't in competitive.
A cool Toon Link final smash would be flooding the stage (reference to the end of Wind Waker) and then he’s in a bubble which lets him move at normal speeds while everyone else is slow.

It's still pretty darn generic in how it functions, def nothing on the likes of Bayonnetta or Pac-man.

I think Roy's should have been higher. There really wasn't a lot of things they could have taken from before Path of Radiance at the earliest, and I think it's different enough from Marth's and extremely faithful to the source material.

They should’ve given PK Love to Lucas, because Pk Starstorm doesn’t even matter in Mother 3, it’s barely even mentioned. PK ground wouldn’t be bad either, because it’s so much better and also unique to Mother 3.
I definitely like the list, I just would have put Ike way higher up. Marth should have been the only fire emblem character above him. Ike was the first character to have the "take them to the top of the stage and rip on em" style, and its a great artistic representation of what Aether in the fire emblem would look like if it was "Great Aether" like Ike announces at the start.

My idea for ROB's Final smash is that ROB appears in the background (almost as if he is looking through a TV) and 2 giant Gyros appear on the stage, bouncing players around, and ROB can control where he drops all of his blocks from Stack up. Would be more faithful to his source material, and would look frickin awesome!
Duck hunts final smash should have been duck hunt level 100
Pixelated grass rises up from the ground. Duck hunt dives into it as the iconic jingle plays. Suddenly, horribly glitched ducks dart erratically around the screen, juggling enemies. As most if not all of them are launched off the screen, the dog rises from the grass and laughs mockingly
I feel like Nintendo doesn't want to reference glitches, but I would like if the final smash was playing a level of Duck Hunt. Just like Snake and ZSS, the player would shoot the screen, except there would be ducks flying around to hit opponents. Shooting opponents directly would not do much, but shooting a duck creates a large hitbox that can kill nearby opponents, then the duck falling would meteor/bury opponents. The dog coming up after each duck would launch opponents straight up.

IDK if you caught this or not, but (it may be just on my end) the sound effect for the numbers when it pops in, the KO sound, although that's on the Bottom Left Hand Corner of the screen, the sound effect plays loudest in my right side speaker. Not a big deal, but it kinda was disorienting. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

I think the best possible Final Smashes for Falco on Wolf are pretty obvious, but not quite what you said.
For Falco, have him go in the Arwing and make it control like starfox, with the rapid fire twin lasers or the ability to charge up a more powerful shot.
For Wolf, have his Final Smash be all about his squad, Star Wolf. Make his Final Smash bring in Leon and Panther as backup, flying around in the background or above the stage to shoot at and ram his opponents with their Wolfens.
We need a remake of this video haha.

@@Proudaazz The only thing it copies from Marth's other than the name is the HP bar and that is a series staple. Everything else is pretty much directly taken from his crit animation while wielding the Binding Blade in FE6, whereas Marth's animation is not based on anything I have seen him do in the FE series afaik and is kinda boring imho. I think it's odd that you rip on Lucina having the same final smash as Marth saying that he is the mascot of Fire Emblem and the others should have been more creative when Lucina is literally her games version of Marth.
Oh okay. I guess Robin never stood a chance. Or Owain. Or Chrom. Lucina is definitely the flagship character here. Plus, the simplicity of the smash could represent the "simplicity" of Marth's games. If Robin got to summon Chrom, Lucina could've summoned Sumia, Emmeryn, or Lissa randomly, each with their own benefits. Emmeyrn, for example, could fully heal the summoning player, or give a stock or two. Something that isn't a copy of Marth.
Let me clarify something; I'm not saying Lucina is the flagship character. That would 100% be Chrom IMO. Oh and yeah Owain isn't flagship. Someone who is completely optional to even see cannot be the flagship character. I'm saying that Lucina is the Marth of Awakening. She dresses like him. She wields the same sword. Her personality fits the Marth archetype. She even calls herself Marth for a while.
As for your final point, my personal opinion on the thought of Lucina summoning someone is that it wouldn't be thematic. The three characters you named have relatively little interaction with Lucina in the canon and overall Lucina tries to act as a lone wolf type character. The other thematic issue is that Lucina, in Smash, is a Marth clone. It'd be odd if she was a Marth clone with one exception.
The pair up Mechanic was integral to Awakening tough, and it simply would have been a thousand times more fitting than using an outdated critical hit. And i don't see why a character being different is something even remotely bad.
I wish that the game and watch final smash was playing the "ball" game where you juggle the character you caught in your Final smash and the longer it lasts the more damage you take

A few thoughts about the Ultimate final smashes I have seen so far. Well whaddya know they did give Wolf his ship along with Falco. Dedede's final smash actually references his Masked Dedede Fight, ROBs final smash has been upgraded considerably. Shiek actually gets a unique final smash now. Zelda now uses the Triforce of Wisdom. They basically gave Link Zelda's old final smash, Lucario got his Brawl Final Smash back. Yoshi's new Final Smash is basically a reference to the Melee Opening. DK's new Final Smash looks to pull from Jungle Beat. Lucas and Ness actually summon their friends now for PK Starstorm. Greninja now becomes Ash Greninja. Pac Man's final smash has become more reliable

They should make Peach's final smash Jigglypuff's, JigglyPuff knows sing and his rest is way more deviating than Peach's fully charged smash attack
putting an opponent to sleep regardless of percent doesn't just lead to a smash atttack, in can also edge guard when opponents are off the level or lead into a crazy combo similar to Bayo. I agree it would be cool to have on Puff, but it would be about the same level of devastation.
