Correction: Iku's groundtech is good at escaping corner setups, but it's considered one of the worst due to how slow it is, which lets basically anyone get perfect oki pressure on her. Okuu's groundtech is almost exactly like Iku's, but Okuu's is considered to be one of the best just because her groundtech is way faster lol But either way, Fun Video!
as a sanae main, i want to note a couple things -she literally has a way to call an unfinished charged variant of one of her bullets by performing arbitrary actions. it's really funny -she is literally like every single type of character mashed into one and honestly you could make a whole video in this style just on sanae alone. she can use her wind mechanic on the ground with precise timing, can call 2 of the same summon at the same time, and has a j5a with a hitbox that hits behind her, like, through her back. but also -the cooldowns are in exchange for EXTREMELY powerful combo and neutral tools. kanako gives her a bullet that has, at minimum, 17 *total* frames of being inactive in j6c, a punish tool that can lead into a consistent 3k+ damage on counterhit (d623), and a bullet that covers an entire horizontal bar of the screen and can lead to unpunishable crush setups on oki. not only that, but her 4c gives her a conversion off of one of her jabs into 2.5k damage, and both have a cooldown of 4 seconds (with just the c buttons). -while the omikuji bomb that can damage her is sort of a negative, it's also over one second plus on block and deals 2 notches of spirit damage AS WELL as almost 2k damage raw while being confirmable with your goddess summons. sanae is able to control her bombs in the air and as long as you space yourself properly, you will not be getting hit by your own attack. it is so plus that you can take a sip of water and come back and still have frames to spare. not only that, but apart from kichi, *all* of her other packets are extremely strong. kyou in particular fires bullets that home in on the opponent and do not get destroyed when you are hit, so if you have it out, it can easily stop you from being comboed. apologies for being a salty sanae main (or if i sound rude at all) about the silly little year old video but it feels a little bit misleading

How to imply that the strongest character in the game is braindead easy to learn: The Discord channel entirely dedicated to learning her is filled to the brim with memes.
I love this video, ever since I started playing this game for fun with friends I wanted someone to make a video like this highlighting the broken aspects in it.
It's weird how IaMP was an actually serious attempt at a Touhou fighting game, and then this comes along after and is.....clearly _not_ quite the same thing. Hey, it's got voice acting though!
Surprised you didn’t talk about yuyuko sphere bloom skill. Insane damage oki and guard drain and spells doom to short tech rollers. Also youmu who j5a is the cornerstone to everything she does

I think Yuyuko is weaker than Kakyoin. If Kakyoin is 11/10 character then Yuyuko is 9.5/10 due to: her movement and wake up is slower than average chars in Soku. But overall her worst matchup is mirror match
So I played Soku for a long time, so I thought the video would spread some over exaggerated informations or even misinformation but… I feel so relieved that isn’t the case with most of the facts, cool video ! There are a lot of corrections to make tho, but I was expecting much worse. For example, you could’ve talked about Patchouli’s 5c instead of her 6c, because this move is stronger to me. You can ask for tips for your next video, but anyways I agreed more or less for most of the facts you’ve picked up in this video, that’s fun !

Hisoutensoku is kinda like an expansion to another game, called Hisouten, you need to have both Hisouten and Hisoutensoku downloaded, and then you do some shenanigans in the games' archives and bam, the rest of the characters are unlocked. Look it up on Google what you have to do, cuz I really don't remember the exact steps.
Sanae's story mode was hell to beat. Actual worst character. Also Yuyuko could be worse... she could just will you to die if she *really* wanted to. Thankfully she doesn't like to do that, at least.

IaMP still has it's fair share of quirks 😉 (voice acting is a mod by the way, nothing else in the video is modded however)
hisoutensoku is just as competitive, if not more, though..? just because it's not industry standard doesn't make it not 'serious'.

Oni Spirit Bomb's also kinda spammable. I've messed up the innards of some players back in Soku Rewired with that skill alone. Fun!

And yet it's probably still my favorite of the fighting games. To be fair, I never tried competitive. It's just such a charming mess.
