Nice video. And WOW people complaining about the chemicals in paper. These are HUGE animals. I'm sure they can process a few chemicals. We do, and often live to be over 80. They are trying to make their lives a little more fun. Many of them have had very sad, lonely and difficult lives. Give it a break!
I love how Billie let Lizzie go ahead of her like saying, ' go ahead. you're faster". The human girls laughing is as good as the elephant girls climbing. Go TES
Hari Om OOhhhh Lizzie - I know just how you feel Gal, trying to climb that slope. What a great new place you have though. I hope spring is springing properly for you now!
I love what you do and I've shared this video several times. I could do without the disturbing cheerleader though. I'm sure the elephants don't need the stress of those high pitched shrieking voices. They stress me out. Why can't you leave them in peace?
Such graceful creatures. Which cannot be said for the screechy 'Cheerleaders'. Hope that they can diminish their volume for everyone's benefit. Well- meaning I'm sure that they were.
elephants lovely to quietly observe. Hideously exaggerated female sqealing - intensely disturbing not to mention potentially harmful to elephants progress.
Thank you. If you mean why do they put the apples in a bag and then give them to the elephants perhaps the elephants like to shake them out for fun! The first one even ate the bag!!!!
Judy A . . . That wood has been through a very harsh chemical process to break down the fiber so it is fine enough to make paper. The chemicals used include alum, albarine, chlorine dioxide, chlorine, dolomite. Other chemicals are used to recombine it into paper. Elephants do eat wood. Paper is not just wood. They do seem to tolerate it, but paper was never a natural part of an elephant's diet.
Why can't you just let them go where they want without those barriers everywhere, this is not really allowing them to live like they would in the wild.
New territory! A hill to climb! The ‘cheering’ sounds patronizing, like she’s talking to a two year old. I muted it. The music you add is delightful: why not fix the soundtrack?!
Do wish you'd stop.the talking disturbance and leave them be. They're quiet. You should respect that Give them space. The chatter and fake laughing is irritating. Seeing her struggle to walk up.the hill is also disturbing.
These elephants interact with these people regularly. Chances are good, the caretakers know what the elephants do and don't like. If they are used to the humans cheering when something is pleasant, then they will associate that sound with good things.
@Lunar Sea Very sensible advice and good of you to stand up for the sanctuary workers. They got excited when the "girls" responded appropriately to the treats and that shows that they love their jobs. Some folks just like to complain about any and every thing.
They are so beautiful. They deserve this.
I would of loved to have been there! God Bless the caregiver staff
and all the elephants! Thank-you for the work you do!

Reminds me of me talking to my cat :) how awesome that they have even more space!
This is wonderful. Thanks again for all you do.
How lucky these girls are to have you care for them. Bye the way, that is exactly how I climb hills :)

Why dont you give only the apples? Why with chemie?

Nice video, thank you, but horrible Sound voices, stressing
It was encouragement to get them to the new woods!
Did you not read that?
I will never undestand why you give them paper (pure chemie) to eat.
Paper is wood. They eat wood.

Immature women.
