- The Gibson ES-335 Memphis reissue 2014 the only guitar you need. In my opinion if you could only have one do it all guitar this would be the one. Going straight into a vintage '66 Fender Deluxe Reverb.

Nice looking guitar. How’s the neck? Thick and chunky or slim?
Thanks! The neck is a beast, thick and chunky. Bigger than my ‘54 Goldtop Les Paul reissue, not quite as large as my ‘51 Fender Tele reissue Nocaster U neck (baseball bat).
Just got a 2015 Memphis historic 63' reissue !!
Awesome sweet guitar!!
I have heard that guitar in person at several of Anthony’s shows and can attest to its greatness. It kills!
Thanks Rodney!! Come out to the Jam tomorrow if you can!
Love the Memphis ES line. Got a cherry 2013 ES-335/12 and a natural 2015 ES-345 '64 Wildwood Spec. Best purchase I ever made.
Killer! I bet the 12 is awesome!! 😎
I’m with you Anthony, I’ve got a 2014 Memphis Es335 going into a 64 Vibroverb. Absolutely sounds amazing. Also got one of the last 2013 Memphis Es335 61 reissue 12 strings. Really can make the old Fender amps sing out. Nice job!
Thanks!! They really are awesome guitars. Wow a 12 string ES I bet that’s sweet!!
@@anthonyrussoband I'm totally with you guys as well! Got Two Memphis ES's as well! Coincidence? I think not. Here's a picture of my Memphis ES-335-12 (2013) and my Memphis ES-345 '64 Wildwood Spec (2015): i.imgur.com/nqlLYwR.jpg. Best purchases I ever did. Cheers from the Netherlands.
Amazing guitars!! Good choice on the Wildwood spec! Last time I visited Wildwood Guitars, Troy who works there, told me he picked up a Memphis ‘64 ES-345.
I have a 2016 330 tdn with a bigsby and it’s a special beast. True buttery feel to fit and finish
Awesome guitars!! 🎸
I have a 2013 Gibson Memphis ES-335 Dot Vintage Sunburst with ink stamp serial number and ebony interior inside f-holes.
Absolutely the best 335 I've ever own, I think it is custom shop quality before custom shop department excist. 🎉
They are such great guitars!! 🎸
I have also same as yours, same years also! Yours one also come with Nashville TOM bridge?
@@stevenkee8391 Yes, Nashville bridge and black knobs. ✨
@@ODaySong some didnt like Nashville bridge, more prefer ABR-1
Dig it. Thanks for sharing 😎
Glad you dig it!!
I think your vocal mic sounds nice but leaves a bunch on the table still... I've had great results with the dual electret lapel mics in omnidirectional. they aren't sensitive to boundary effect and have a wide flat response. just happens they'll capture the garbage truck down the street with perfect definition as well
Thanks! I’ve been looking for something like that. I’ll check those out. 🎤
The memphis factory was making some of the best guitars Gibson has put out since the 50s/60s. The es-175s Memphis made in their last few years were just as good as the vintage examples I’ve played also. I wish the MHS pups had a bit more clarity but they are still closer to PAF than the custombuckers Gibson is currently using which sound more like T-tops to my ears. My only complaint about Memphis is VOS guitars from the 2010s have a reddish patina that isnt vintage correct.
They really are awesome guitars! The MHS pickups are some of the best PAF clones I’ve heard! 🎸
They still make figured 335s in Nashville.
To be fair, I don't like figured tops at all... Prefer plain ES's and '58 LPs... Just my preference I guess...
@@bolkoa.zgierski646 I'm the same. I just like a nice wood grain.
Why do the Memphis ES guitars destroy the newer Nashville ones?
this wasn't asnwered if we want to be fair
With so much distortion it’s impossible to judge any guitar.listen to Tony mottola!
Thanks Arthur! That makes sense. No distortion pedals were used, I’m just plugged straight into a cranked Deluxe Reverb. 😎
I have a 2011 Memphis Custom Shop ES-335 Dot. It's a great guitar.
Awesome! Is it Sunburst or Cherry 🍒 ?
