I've a 330-'69 and play it every day/night (no refret) without emplyfier ( neightbours) and can say the tones insite are fanfuckingtastic.togeter with my fender telecaster 69 and LP2000 I have the ultimate sounds My bosendorger upright piano, and my instruments gave great satisfaction and relaxation,everyday,it keeps me sober too .

They are both awesome guitars! I’m grateful to the good Lord above to have both. It’s hard to choose between them because they’re such different instruments, also the ES-330 is vintage verses the ES-335 being a reissue. If I had to choose I’d definitely pick my ES-330 it’s a really great one!

@@anthonyrussoband Nice. For your style, I wonder how pure nickel would sound. They impart a slightly more vintage tone and feel.

I used Gibson Vintage Reissue’s Pure Nickel’s for a long time, I liked them a lot. But Slinky’s are like half the price. 😎

For the first time I use very bendable strings and its fun.The sound of the string is les ,but that beding is another demension.

@@anthonyrussoband I've been curious about these 5e3's. I have played super reverbs,50 watt plexi's and tried the 18w Marshall route and now back to a 35w Germino. Love it but one of the bands I'm in now plays less rock and more country/easy listening/soft rock stuff. Ab the heaviest we play is Molly hatchet. My question is some gigs we don't mic the amps. Drummer doesn't hit hard. Will the amp have enough clean head room if I roll down on my Les Paul and roll up for dirt also will it be too loud when say around 4....I used a Princeton reverb with 12" last wknd and it was dimed. Would the deluxe be louder? I've heard after 4 they just saturate.

I’d say it would be about the same level as a Princeton. I played one for years in my 4 piece Rhythm & Blues band. Like you said basically after 4ish it’s all just saturated although you can get some different, somewhat cleaner sounds tweaking the knobs. (The channel not in use has an effect on the main channel even when not plugged in).

@@anthonyrussoband yea I found all this out...ordered a Victoria 5e3 and it lasted all of 20 mins. The transformer burned up in it had to send it back. Seemed like it would've worked but back to square one lol

Depends on the day. 😎 I’m blessed and grateful to have both of these wonderful instruments! They are both great for different things. If I had to choose one it would be the ES-330. However the ES-330 is Vintage and the ES-335 is a reissue. Perhaps if I had a vintage ES-335 this would be a different story…

Man! I’ve got a Tweed Deluxe handmade point to point that is amazing but I got to tell you that I have a couple of those UAFX (Dream and Lion) and they are really really close to the real thing plus a lot of advantages such as portability, volume and zero maintenance. Universal Audio did an incredible job. I always be a tube guy but playing the UAFX I still am a tube guy 😂

@@anthonyrussoband I’d go for an es 330 provided I already have à chambered Les Paul , not that far from a 335 . My choice wouldn’t be for a Beatles Casino sound , but more for a Grant Green jazzy tone or even a Robben Ford style (when using à Casino ) . Finally a very versatile guitar
