Bernthal is the only character in the game who has consistently good voice acting in the game the others either suck at voice acting or like nomad are good in some scenes & bad in others
Funny story, if you're playing immersive mode (so no gear score) you can make a straight bee-line to the Brother vs Brother Walker mission and kill him the second you get to Erewhon for the first time. There are no gates or checks stopping you from just completing his bossfight and killing him instantly, right at the start of the game.
I just started playing the game a week ago, and I played it in immersive mode first time as many videos suggested to play straight into immersive first… And I was so surprised that I got to kill him pretty early in the game… He was so hyped up in the trailer, I thought he’s gonna be in the game longer… So, what would happen in gear mode on..? Is the mission cannot be played at all until a certain level..?
You can kill walker in literally the first opening mission in the game, the where weaver is killed. You have a brief opening befire he hops onto the chopper.

Flycatcher. I killed him by shooting through the wooden door he was behind. I didn't even know it was him i killed until i went into the room. Felt very anticlimactic.

They would NEVER give the player the option to join the Wolves for that reason alone. Like in any piece of narrative/story, you need a antagonist/bad guy so the Wolves, and the ones who backed them fit that. If it weren't Ubisoft being largely incompetent, I would have also suggested that is likely a nod to the Wolves (self explanatory), Sheep Dogs (Ghosts), & Sheep (Non-combatants & those just trying to survive) analogy.

breakpoint is easily one of those games where i wish i could see/play the game the devs actually wanted to make before the publisher stepped in and made them change everything halfway through

Despite Halo Infinite being pretty abysmal, 343 animated Chief holding every type of weapon you can hold during cutscenes in the campaign. And Ubisoft can't even do that when the emphasis in Wildlands and Breakpoint is apparently role play.
Fun fact: Volition (the company behind saints row) actually made a very good punisher game in 2005, and they worked on an open world based sequel for a good bit before it got cancelled, and they wound up working a lot of the mechanics into the first saints row game.

Here we have a character, one of the few examples Ubisoft failed to use at full potential. Walker could had been used so much more. We are talking about a character that appeared from Wildlands, that turned rogue, yet so few scenes with him, and such cheap death he got. Ubisoft starts to dissapoint us, or some of us, more and more.
Wish you would've showed wildland cut scenes cause it kinda leads into this like when Walker lost his comrades I think that was a huge turning point for him
all of the gear in this game looks like airsoft gear. i think it has something to do with the fact that the game was worked on by Ubisoft Paris. i dont think tactical stuff is really that big of a deal over there

See, the animators added two sets of reload animations for all weapons, the slower one puts the mag back, the quick one discards it. What did the game designers do with said work? Instead of giving us the option to choose our reloads they tied it to a damn stat. If you got at least +15% reload speed from all buff sources combined, you'll trigger the faster animation, and it does nothing, completely separate from the [lose ammo on reload] toggle in the menus. That's the kind of game Ubisoft makes, at war with itself.
I havent played the main story since the game came out, played through the dlcs and I'm working on conquest right now. Honestly forgot how much I loved this character and how disappointed I am that he wasn't used as much as we all would've hoped. I would love a Ghost Recon game that takes place back when walkers still a ghost.
Oh hey, didn't realized he'd be around the cutscene where you first meet Jace Skell. One of the first things I did when I started the game and got used to the hardest difficulty was kill him lol so that cutscene played with only Josiah and the other four Wolves without Walker.

Maybe that particular 'general' thinks that black fatigues and a beret (all 'sterile', or without badges or markings of any kind) are How He Should Look to command an irregular unit like the Ghosts?
Imagine a guy dropping dead in front of you and just standing still looking one way. Then the next guy drops and you CONTINUE to kneel there and not move

Breakpoints probably one of my Favorite Ghost Recon games for having some familiar faces and some new faces ( Jon Bernthal ) but the only thing I think I hate about Breakpoint was Weavers death. He was one of the OG Ghost and he dies right off the bat..
Walker was in GR:Wildlands believe it or not. Part of the scenes from the cutscenes are actually some scenes that were from continuation of Wildlands but more condensed and main focus on your friendship with you and walker.
I played through this game, and I still don't know what's going on. Compared to Wildlands where from start-to-finish it seems so simple at first glance.
I thought it was cool how they bookended the time spent between these two characters with one dragging the other around wounded. Don't know if it was on purpose but...
He was wasted way to early and that he appeared mostly in flashbacks is also a damn shame.... he and the game had so much potential but Ubisoft wasted it and screwed up.
Fun fact, headgear for costumes carry over to cutscenes when normal headgear is taken out. So if you have Nøkk’s headgear on, it carries over as if cutscene you had it. So you can have your roleplay as if Nøkk is doing these missions
I hated the end, you could hear the desperation in Walkers voice in trying to convince Nomad one last time to join him so they wouldnt have to kill each other. Brothers even in the end.
Part of me sees this as the Punisher's backstory in the military. A open world-ish Punisher game like GTA, Arkham, and Insomniac Spiderman would be absolutely goated.

Fun fact, headgear for costumes carry over to cutscenes when normal headgear is taken out. So if you have Nøkk’s headgear on, it carries over as if cutscene you had it. So you can have your roleplay as if Nøkk is doing these missions
I hated the end, you could hear the desperation in Walkers voice in trying to convince Nomad one last time to join him so they wouldnt have to kill each other. Brothers even in the end.
