I love the Sharks, jerseys

Been a sub since about 24K subs. Supported the channel financially here and there along the way as funds could provide. You are by far the best, most researched, unbiased, well-informed, journalistically clear NHL analyst,/journalist, and among the best NHL historians in the business. The amount of content you produce is unmatched; no one comes close, even the legendary Grapes during his youthful heyday. You deserve more recognition by the "professionals" among the mainstream NHL media, and, frankly, the league itself. That said, there are trade-offs with everything in life, and additional attention by the mainstream NHL media could bring some of its own....challenges. Perhaps less so if the league acknowledged your excellent work. But I think more recognition among fans of the game would be most welcome and deserved, likely with less baggage. I'd say some cliche like "keep it up" or "don't change a thing", but you haven't since the first video I watched 6+ years ago, so such platitudes are unnecessary and redundant. I'll just say, love ya man! Your channel has been part of my weekly routine for years now, which I greatly appreciate.
3:20 - Those are the BEST jerseys the SJ Sharks have ever had! The style, the colors it was just perfect. They also had a lot of sucsess waering those!
I think the first Reebok jerseys the Sharks had are almost perfect. If you take that design and add the OG shoulder patch and remove the front numbers (which those jerseys had), you have one of the nicest sets in the whole league’s history!
Agreed That look is in my top 10 all time as it was., however your suggestions would make it even better.
I have a teal original design Sharks Darren Turcotte jersey from 1995-96 and I bought it for 20 bucks during a store clearance in the 90s. It had "TURCOTTE" on the back with #9 on back and sleeves. It was cheap because the Sharks just changed their jersey design. It is still one of my faves.
I got the brand new Karlsson jersey like that because he was traded. It was under $50 I think. For a jersey that was out a year, that was a steal!!
As a Sharks fan since the beginning it was nice to see all those Sharks jerseys from the Pat Faloon era up to that Sharks/Seals jersey that I like a lot thanks again for a trip down memory lane! Fun fact: the triangle with the Shark is supposed to represent the 3 main cities of the Bay Area, San Francisco on the Peninsula, Oakland in the East Bay and San Jose in the South Bay. Looking forward to the upcoming season Shannon keep up the great work as always!
I love how San Jose has used grey over the years, particularly in their first Reverse Retro, I love that striping too. Ironically from not so much a fan about the orange (I'm usually a fan of orange). I really like there new ones too.

I love the newer stealth jerseys and it's one of my favorites to wear. I have a Thornton one. The SJ I'm the circuit board sleeve is a nice touch

Get the current white barracuda jersey, you won’t be disappointed trust me
I actually preferred the early 2000's look than the Reebok look. It made sense for a team that's called the Sharks have a wavy look on the shoulders but I'm glad they sorta went back to the original design.
Wow, that covers every Sharks jersey. My favorite was the original until they updated last season…the new jersey is so clean & classic. The stealth black jersey also looks slick when swapping out the white lettering for teal.

Yeah, 2:00 we wore the white for home and black one for the road from that era in travel league as a kid. Def gonna be making an updated jersey of that once I grab an extra blank
Love their original jerseys, wish they would go back to those full time! The current 3rd is great.
HATE the orange, should have been silver or gray instead. The current home/away needs some gray/silver as well.
Not a Sharks fan but I have the second Reverse Retro and I really like it. The colors really pop.

The grey barracuda is sharp and likely my next jersey! Having a hard time buying a new Jersey since I bought my last one in Marleau’s farewell season. Maybe get a Smith or Musty one next!

Have several of those. You’re just missing the 25th or 30th Anniversary. They are a little different from the original.
I’m Getting the new Cali Fin for Easter. My brother always complains I have too many jerseys. I just think of you. As long as I don’t have as many as you, I’m ok. Besides, all but 2 have been gifts.

I actually like the sharks first reverse retro. Theres a marleau in my size on ebay that im interested in. Problem is i dont live near san jose any more so whenever i go to games its rangers only
2:38 best third jersey the Sharks will ever have. the two stripes on the arm, one white, one teal, is a master stroke. doesnt hurt that i hate the new logo compared to the old.

The Sharks 🦈 Reverse Retro jerseys I like the RR 1.0 jersey more since they put their classic logo on the front their RR 2.0 jersey it's ok of the Sharks wordmark doing the seals look but I wished they did a teal jersey instead of a white jersey

Shannon, please please please learn what a Reebok Edge looks like, you literally have some in your collection! That Sharks Reebok Alt is not an authentic. It's an indo edge, which was a jersey sold to fans and is a tier below what was worn on the ice. Reebok sold higher quality retail edges (that don't have that neon collar, the indicator of an indo edge) which only differed from the on-ice product in that they didn't have double-reinforced fight straps (well... they weren't supposed to, but sometimes they did lol)
3:30 I always loved the 07 set. I know I'm in the minority, but the orange makes it really pop. I was disappointed when they changed it in 13. I love the Stadium Jersey as well.
I wish the sharks did a “wild wing” type jersey. The seals throw back needed the sharks logo but in the style of the seals logo, word mark is boring in my opinion.
I feel like I've also seen you wearing a few of the Sharks' free giveaway jerseys (shirseys?) at times. Things like the Tiburones one or the Sharks/insert other bay area sports team (49ers, Warriors, Giants). Were those excluded because they never wore them in a game or was I mistaken about you having them? (It's possible I heard you make a comment about them looking nice and for some reason my brain connected the comment with you having worn it)
Those aren’t really Sharks jerseys. Those are just fan giveaways. The players used to only wear them in warmups. Now they just wear them walking into the arena before the game.
Has your dislike of the sharks waned at all given our lack of success in recent years?

Barracuda don't draw well at all in San Jose. Very few people in the building, which is brand new. San Jose should've stuck its minor league team 100 miles away in Sacramento, where it wouldn't have to compete with the Sharks to sell tickets, merchandise, etc.
Seems like there were pretty decent crowds at the couple games I went to last year. Not sure how attendance compares to the rest of the AHL, but there were a few thousand fans there.
@@MrVisde 'Cuda ranked dead last in attendance last season, despite playing in a brand new building and having top prospects like William Eklund and Thomas Bordeleau on the team. Average attendance was 2,000 and some change, which seems like a very generous figure based on the games I saw.
@@TheGumbyRules that’s a bummer. I went to Cuda games for the first time last year because of the new arena. It was a fun atmosphere, easy to get in/out, and a good value. Plan on going to more next season. I wonder if they’ll start catching on with other fans?
I'm sure the owners aren't concerned about attendance, since the complex doubles as a practice facility for the Sharks, which allows them to keep operating costs down. Almost half of the teams in the AHL had an average attendance of 5000 or less, so being "last" really isn't a big deal by comparison.
I think the Throwback with Seals colors should have put the full shark in Teal with the Gold/Yellow instead of Black on the logo background, word mark logo was the failure of the Jersey IMO.
