I live in North Central Az. Today it was 101. I went outside at 12 noon. Yes it was hot but because the dew point was so low and there was a nice breeze I wasn't uncomfortable. Compared to the sotheastern states 101 is not bad. Try working outside or taking a walk in 87 degrees with a dew point of 72, and that was in early October. When I walked completely around the block my shirt would be so wet with sweat I could ring out the water. My actual body temp was 101, and that was after drinking a large cup of water before I walked.
Nonsense! They take the readings on the pavement not 6' over. The European Weather Agency did the same thing all last summer. On top of that, an accurate thermometer was even invented until 1840! 😅

That reading isn’t reliable as there was equipment malfunction and the other readings in the region were nowhere near that. Ask yourself why every recent year there’s more consistently broken heat records.
Yeah well it was 132 degrees in bullhead city AZ one day they said it was the hottest place on earth that day even thou there’s no record. It was 122 to 128 every day that year in aug

It's called Death Valley because of death in the valley.

120 or more is not bad if you stay outside for just 5 minutes, but 110 could kill you if you work outside all day

Yeah, it's been 134 in the past, so this isn't a record breaker. Must be a slow news day.

I agree. I knew this was NOT a record breaker fir Death Valley. They did specify " for this date July 5. So that's how they justify the statement.

I been pushing that idea for years. May not need a pump, just get a long pipeline and prime it. Then it will siphon the water in.
