- After months of hard work, I've finally finished my greatest project ever. This time, my main focus was creating a project with as many original and aesthetically pleasing designs as I could imagine. I spent countless hours mapping out each part of the project in order to utilize different colors and shapes to create a set up that would have diverse elements, but also feel unified as a whole.
When I began this project in December, my goal was to continue the aspects I enjoyed from the "Domino Chaos" series, but make changes that would improve the overall theme. As you can see, the color choices and falldown path are a bit less chaotic than usual, which I altered to make the setup feel less jumbled and confusing.
I am incredibly satisfied with the turnout of the project, as it is certainly the best work I have ever done, and I couldn't have asked for a better falldown.
About the new username, I was just tired of having such a long and complicated name that had nothing to do with my channel. It was a little embarrassing when people would ask what they should search up to find my domino videos. I decided to go with "MarDominoes" as a way to maintain some of my original name, while also relating it to what this channel is all about. I promise nothing else will be changing with the new name. With that said, you can think of this project as a tribute to SuperMarMarMan1, which has held so much significance to me for the last seven years.

If it wasn't already clear from the Awards Show, you are by far my favorite domino builder. The meticulous planning of this setup was extremely apparent, there is no way you could have improvised that entire thing. You also put a ton of care into preventing fails, not in the "I'll just add a ton of barriers" way, but in the "stuff on the floor should topple before structures" way. Yet you are always able to create mesmerizing and captivating setups within those constraints. Probably because you are able to transition between lines and structures with so much ease, which is also something I think you excel at. Of course the tricks you manage to pull off are remarkable as well. I particularly love the pentagon structure made out of the bee pyramid technique, the falling tower dominoes into the cup tower, and the weaving tallwall, and the growing octowall circle. Those are the kind of ideas that I love seeing in domino setups. Not necessarily new tricks, but new and clever ways of applying existing techniques. (Strangely enough, that's exactly the kind of machine trick I like to see as well, which is why 11 Inventions is so unbelievably good). I also love your color combinations, it really helps tie the setup together. One thing I noticed for the first time about your setups is that you hardly ever make fields. This setup only had two relatively small ones, which is almost unheard of for a setup with 30K dominoes in it. Massive amounts of respect for that.
My main takeaway from this video is that I wish more people made setups like this these days. It's really uncommon to see setups with this many dominoes that consist of multiple independent, unthemed, smaller projects. Sadly, I feel that the classic domino setup is dying out. Domino artists now are much more interested in single domino projects, screenlinks, domino compilations, or small (10K or fewer) themed setups. You are really the only person left who makes domino setups on a regular basis, and I'm so thankful that you're the best possible person to be the only one. The only other person who makes fairly large setups that I can think of is TheDominoKing, since he makes setups with 25K-30K dominoes pretty consistently, but most of that is from fields, and he doesn't have a lot of interesting or creative new ideas. DaksDominos and Dynamic Domino also make large setups occasionally, but I think the classic domino setup is not as common as it used to be. Maybe I'm totally wrong about that observation, but all I know is that your style of building is my absolute favorite, and you blew me away again with this video. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

I couldn’t agree more with your argument, and that is actually a large reason I built this project. I began building in late 2010/early 2011, and at the time, you could see exactly how many dominoes your favorite builder owned just based off of their largest setup, as the trend at the time was to make random rallies using as many dominoes as you had. Just take a look at what builders like Shanesdominoez, Hevesh5, DominoDan123main, xxdominomasterxx, and many other builders were doing at the time. Because of this, I always wanted to be like my role models and make setups that were as big as I could make them. I often go back to videos from this time when looking for inspiration for a big project like this one. As you also noticed, this setup was a lot more organized than usual for me. I don’t necessarily want to ignore the whole aesthetic trend that the domino community is in now, with the colorful single projects, but I also don’t want to turn my back on the style that inspired me in the first place. This project was my compromise for both sides. I’m glad you enjoyed it :)

The color combo was basically the same as flippycat’s project. Also very similar to Van Gogh’s.
The mini domino effect was not necessarily intended. I knew they would spill off of the side but I wasn’t expecting it to look as cool as it did.

One more thing, I really admire this video for being filmed in just one take. It's the style of setup filming I like the most and it makes me almost feel as if I'm watching it in person when there aren't any camera jumps

And I was just starting to feel proud of my 2250 stones domino setups XD This was completely unexpected, and I can't believe that it fell down so perfectly! My favorite part was the trick at 2:05 (one of the best colorchanging tricks I've ever seen), and the speedwall that went inside the transparent structure. 32'000 dominoes is insane man. I can't believe that you have done a setup so big! Your use of colors was also impressive! Lyle is right in the sense that big setups aren't so common anymore (I remember a time when they were). Everytime I think that you've made everything you could, you impress me. Amazing job!
P.S.: how many building fails did you experience while building this?

The only notable fail I had was when I messed up on the red-orange wall splits, and even that was only around 500 dominoes at the time. I was pretty lucky with this one!
