Tested one, loved it. Picking it up tomorrow. A 24, LTD, AWD same color combo as your test car. Now I just have to install my Level 2 Charger in the garage and run my 240V to it
Just an observation about the charge port door. Having a manual door is a feature, not a bug (this goes for all cars-EV or ICE). You don’t want an electric motor/latch to burn out from ice covering the door or simply conking out while locked closed.
@ Depends on a ton of factors, such as the model chosen, temperature, etc. I personally have no problem getting a steady 65-80kwh of recharge, even in cold weather. I have the AWD base model, which is slower than the FWD model to charge. In clear terms, most of the time, I go to the bathroom, order a coffee, look at my emails and then it’s time to go. If your masculinity isn’t challenged by a Tesla leaving 3 minutes before you do, you will be a-ok. Also, if you ride with the flow and don’t need to overcharge for no reason, that 0-80% figure ain’t relevant. Get what you need, plan your trip accordingly, point your chargers and it’ll be fine. Longer charge? It happens. Just enjoy a TH-cam video or work on your laptop to get back on track with your office duties while you can. My experience is that my clients can’t see a difference in my efficiency to answer their demands, so it’s all good. As for the Tesla chargers, there’s tons of adapters you can easily find with a simple Google research. Then again, I live in Québec where hydro is nationalized and fees are quite cheap. So on the state’s charging network, cheaper than on Tesla’s. So I’m never even tempted to use them. Especially since I don’t want one of my pennies to finance Trump’s campaign.
I actually think this is a quite decent car. Living it. And after testing several, the Toyota is the only one driving like a normal car. Most of the competition makes you feel like something is wrong, with a weird boat-like sensation, especially with the Hyundais.
Could be better is an understatement of the century! Here's a *GENEROUS* comparison to the *Tesla Model 3 LR RWD:* BZ4X (depending on trim) has *111-119 miles less range,* *20-30% slower charging,* no rear screen, $900 higher average 10-year maintenance/repair cost (by brand), *3-8 fewer speakers, 1-3 fewer subs, 1 fewer amp, general warranty covers 1 year/14k miles less, drivetrain warranty covers 3 years/60k miles less, no FSD,* all for *$10k HIGHER price...* Completely insane The one caveat is that here's a *HUGE* disparity between the buy and lease prices and I can't make sense of it. The lease prices on the Toyota website look great - better than Tesla - but then I look at any of the advertised dealer leases and they're 60-100% higher and say they require $20k down-payment! WtF is this? 😵💫
Hello people..don’t get one..I lease one just 6 months ago and last week my heater went out..and a message saying ..drive start control malfunction..and it hasn’t been fixed yet
Just a compliance model but I don't fault Subaru for using it to gain some experience with EVs. I'm still waiting for Toyota to start the $500B investment in replacing America's 140K gas stations with hydrogen refueling.
Gotta be the dullest EV out there, some questionable styling, look at that square rear …. looks like an Aztec !! Overly exaggerated wheel arch plastic things just turn me off immediately and the dullest interior I have ever seen . Toyota might be up there when it comes to reliability but they need to get some new design guys working for them, zero excitement going on with this EV.

What do you think? Does their first attempt at an EV need work? 🚘
Needs a crusher. - I am beyond disappointed.
I am beyond disappointed... it needs a crusher. .. NEVER AGAIN
I’ve always trusted Toyota for its quality, and the bZ4X doesn’t disappoint. It’s a solid EV with great range and a comfortable ride

The one owners (such as myself) love, while those who don’t own it hardly dislike.
How fast can it charge at a DC fast charger? And can it be charged at a Tesla supercharger? With an adapter ?

Can it use the Tesla network?

Is the resale going to be better than Tesla? Tesla have an absolutely pathetic resale value
Vivik!! Get yo rear 🔙 in Congress and let the ev guru's roll😊
The resale value of this car is horrendously bad. I saw a 2024 used low mileage one for 30k.
The EV for people who hate EV’s.
I swear I thought you were Vivek doing a car review

I really hope it’s a wake up call for them. Hyundai and Kia are burying them with the amount of EVs they’re releasing.
Pacocha Crest
There are better and cheaper BEVs made by Chinese.
15 years late.

Can't compare it with Tesla! In fact no other EV's will come near TESLA's !!
Just try the Audi etron gt performance…
One of the worst EVs money can buy
Full price, yes. I’ve seen some of the best lease deals for the bZ4X of late. As low as $159/month

I think I would go with Tesla more bang for your buck
Junk. - I regret.... beyond a piece of junk.
Buy a Tesla - be happy.
Don't be Toyotas guinea pig.
Seriously... Toyota should be ashamed...
