Lots of Hummingbirds means Life's not as hard for the moment, because these beautiful birds cheered you up. How a little bird makes a Big difference in a cold cruel world. 😂

Very nice video. Have lots of those containers from KFC and plenty of water bottles. Think I'll have hubby watch this video and have him make a bunch of the bases and keep them in the motor home so when we get to a place that has hummingbirds, I can just whip several out, fill attach to base and BINGO. Saves me from dragging the ones from the house everytime we go camping.

I watched another video earlier this evening and they recommend rubbing oil, I think they said vegetable, onto the wire to prevent ants from walking on it. I think Vaseline might be an even better choice. Another video said, if you're using string, to use fresh water fishing line. Apparently ants are unable to walk on it! I've never tried them, myself, but wanted to pass the info on!

OK idea, but I it doesn't seem very simple. Since the feeder is made out of plastic, it's hard to clean, and might release toxins into the nectar. It might be beneficial to make a feeder out of GLASS, which one guy has already done. If you want to see him, click this link: m.th-cam.com/video/FECyZ1bC9JU/w-d-xo.html

I'm sure it feels good to make something out of trash, admire your recycling but this seems like too much to do while you can buy on from Walmart for $2.99.
