Virginity is nothing, the married state is nothing. Doing the will of God is everything-they didn't abandon their vocation to religious life; they simply never had one in the first place.

What is the best book I can read on saints Louis and Zele Martin? I would especially like to see and read about their daily routine and see how it might be adapted to a modern family.

"The Whole World Will Love Me" by Dorothy Scallan is a delightful read. Not dry. Starts with Zelie's young adulthood before her marriage. Mostly biographical of Therese but has good, human details of Louis and Zelie's family life.
      God bless you.

wouldnt being married and vowing celibacy be a sin? as the Church teaches the main reason for marriage is to have children?

    • @alansilva9548
      @alansilva9548 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

The Church doesn't teach that. She teaches that the procreational aspect can't be disassociated from the unitive aspect of Marriage. Answering your first question, if the spouses are ok with that, no problem.

St Louis and St Zelie Martin are saints of Roman Catholic Church unfortunately we will never again see these kind of saints in our Catholic Church today because our Catholic church does not foster piety, reverence, in our churches during Mass reason being our Mass is no longer the Holy Catholic Mass. The tabernacle are gone, our statues our gone, the holiness of the Mass is gone. To make matter worse 3 out of 5 priest today are gay. Some of our priest today are molesting children. Is there hope for our Church. No. As a matter of fact things will get worse. Rome its self is no longer Catholic. All we can do is pray for our Roman Catholic Church.

there is always hope! be the difference you wish to see. hope not in people but in God who still works through his Church. daily saints are rising up. You have too many false and despondent statements for me to rebut, but be assured, God is at work, don't despair of the Holy Spirit.

The One True Catholic Church that Jesus founded is his Bride and shall never be corrupted.
Those Searvants of God that are NOT only not serving our Lord and are in a state of Mortal Sin have been completely separated from God by virtue of their free will that chooses to do evil. They are not with God. Yet our Lord still uses these men in if they do the consecration of the euchsrist in proper form as given by our Lord this and all other sacrement are still valid. I am writing this comment in June of 2017.
We still must pray for the Holy Father on down the line that they remain or return to be holy Catholic Searvants of our Lord. This is the time of the Great Apostacy as described in Scripture. We Lay faithful are the remnants chosen to live in these very evil sinful and Godless times. We must Live the Fatima Message.. Pray the Rosary(s) daily the divine Mercy Chaplet and other prayers, do penance, make sacrifices, do the first Friday and Saturday Devotions,
Frequent confession, mass, adoration For reparation to the Sacred and Immaculate hearts, for conversion of our fallen Shepherds and poor sinners. We must know our faith read chatechisms of the Catholic Church. No matter who says what we must stay faithful to the deposit of faith that was all given up to the time of desth of tje last Apostle John. We are undergoing the greatest Chastisement ever given from God for the most evil generation ever to have lived and they will get much worse.
Yet we can only choose to do all as our Lord wants of us and guard our Salvation with fear and trembling. The we place all our trust in our Lord conscrating ourselves to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts.
If we are on the side of God it does not matter who is against us. Heaven is our Goal.
      God Bless

The times in which we live are reputed to bring about the greatest saints, and many saints reportedly wished to live in our times. I understand why you believe as you do if you are basing your beliefs based on what is occurring in the Conciliar Church. The real Mass and the Holy Rosary are nurturing the saints of today.

The statues are gone? The Tabernacle is gone? The reverence is gone? What Parish do you go to? Doesn't sound like a Catholic one.

Dreadful dialogue awful speaker.I would have thought the daughters would have wanted to stay in the home and take care of their very devoted father in his old age.Well at least one or two of them.

one of the daughters did until his death.
You think in earthly terms this family though and lived in the Spiritual world. We are here to Love and seve our Lord in this Life so that we may spend eternity with him in the next life.
