Someone using this machine said, "This smoothes the transients." A rudimentary question, why does rounding the transients make the hero's sound stand out? Is it the same as a compressor, the same as having more headroom secured and pushed in the function of the compressor?
I have a question, on the EQ, can i for example choose a frequency, then reduce it or add to it, then go to another frequency and reduce or add to it whilst my previous modification is still intact? For example reduce 700hz, and then increase 3200hz after?
Not on the same potentiometer. You can obviously alter three different frequencies due to the three different pots, but you can't set multiple changes on just one of them.
I've got this one, best piece of equipment I have. Saving for a WA47 now :P (Have you guys tried to send a line output (left) to this baby, another to ... ahem... another of these Wa73 (so you have L and R) then the outputs or sends combined into some headphones? As if 2 of these acted as a headphones amplifier? I've tried this and it sounds awesome (although only mono since I only have 1 Wa73-eq). Sounds so good and clean and not harsh. Sounds superb. Maybe this could be a hint of what you could experiment on to make new products? Idk. I hope I explained myself well, lol.
Own a TB-12, awesome unit !) But looking for this babe, can you make a video with detailed sound comparison of all your current preamps in model line ?
Can you use 2 mics into the front and rear XLR's ? I love mine, also have the WA76. I use both outputs, one to the '76 and one straight in, for parallel compression. Never tried the tone button, will give it a go
The XLR input on the front is identical to the one on the back (only one XLR output on the back). I always have an XLR plugged into the back of mine going to a patch bay, but get a signal through the front input anytime I plug into it. I’m not sure the rear input signal gets bypassed when plugged into the front, though.
Is this mic pre enough transparent enough so i can get coloration not too much in your face? I`m in search for preamp that can go pretty transparent , but also can saturate enganging output if needed.
I think you'll love this mic pre, Dado! I'd reach out to our QC team to get some specifics on coloration. Below is a link. They'll get back to you ASAP. warmaudio.com/product-inquiry/
Hey Skar! You'll still engage the circuitry of the preamp, even if you use the inserts. So, although there is a way to bypass the EQ, you can't bypass the preamp. Have you seen our WA-EPQ? Great piece of gear if you're just looking for EQ! warmaudio.com/eqp-wa/
Yes, make sure the 48V for the preamp is off and then engage the EQ button and only the EQ will be used. If you are using it as a plugin, then make sure your have your I/O inputs and outputs set up to the inputs and outputs on the back of the WA73 and then click the line in button. It's in the manual. I love this thing. Getting more WA gear soon.
In general, a ground lift switch should only be used if there's a reason to - meaning, you have a hum or a buzz that you're trying to get rid of. If there are no such issues, leave the ground lift switch in its default position. Hope that helps!
What a silky-smooth presentation
Just bought my gear and I’m stoked to install and use it. Thank you for the informational video!

Rafa Dominguez I think I should order another WA73 then. Oh and another EQP - WA and finally the Buss Comp. 😝😝
@@jossuecastaneda8135 Does that mean you tried my experiment? If so, what do you reckon?

Does the signal from the back XLR input get bypassed when you plug something into the front XLR input?

No you can’t.
Dope!!!

@@dietrpoppen7981 It does get bypassed.
Anyone look to get Neve 73 should try this I love it

It's rather transparent, but press the tone button for added color via the changing impedance for the mic
Are you on the stock market? I’ll buy some assets from your comoany!! ❤
Is there a way to bypass the pre amp and strictly use this for EQ?
Hey Skar! You'll still engage the circuitry of the preamp, even if you use the inserts. So, although there is a way to bypass the EQ, you can't bypass the preamp.

@@WarmAudioOfficial looking for the WA76, then going for the WA-EPQ, oh and a patch bay. LOL
Can I use this pre with my Audient ID14 MK1? Thanks
Yes!
@@WarmAudioOfficial thanks for the answer
Alchemy Drive endorses this product :)
Should the ground switch be lifted when in use?

@@WarmAudioOfficial it does. Thanks. I'm getting that WA-2A next 💪🏽
