Crusader Hurricane issues Update # 3

This is Part 3 in regards to issues I have had with my Crusader Hurricane since new and fixes I have done to keep on the road as we are on a lap around Australia. This episode focuses on a bush fix for the self ejecting water heater unit.

Sorry to hear about the warranty issues, I imagine all manufacturers will be similar to deal with.

@@markandshirley I think that if it could be a verified as a fault a budget could be allocated to get it fixed at a later date or have a part sent out like some other manufacturers.

Department of fair trading might be the way to go for recompense

Hi Alfred. I have a Hurricane soon after yours. Also had a Black Jack installed by the dealership. It keeps tripping at full EXT. Fuse blows in the front battery box. I know you installed your BlackJack. Have you had any similar problem?

@@karenmc9298 mine does not trip but you have to release the button when it reaches full extend, all electronics will trip if you don’t back off. If you need to extend the leg all the way down, try using a raiser block. I just use some pieces of wood just for this purpose. Then you won’t have to use the entire travel if the leg and won’t reach the end point which increases the electrical load.
