Donna-marie and I (Alfred) have started our lap of Australia leaving from Perth, in our tiny caravan we called "Tiny" hence the channel name "Tiny On Tour". Follow us as we explore and discover more about this great land of ours. The caravan is a Crusader Hurricane with a few mods to it and so far we are loving it.

Banana Well A bush camp on the Dampier Peninsula that is is not usually mentioned is Banana Well, it is a decent size and vans are well spaced out. It has limited powered sites but has plenty of taps for everyone to have water or if you choose to be further away, there are heaps of taps around for you to fill up without waiting. Tiny On Tour Episode 8 - Broome and Smithy's Seaside Adventures Beach Camp

We stop into Broome for a van service and to get parts to keep our water heater from coming loose, re stock the pantry, do laundry and fill water. While there we visit the night markets and catch up with some friends then on to Smithy's and get to see whales!

We get to Port Smith Caravan Park and and meet dear friends of ours who have also been travelling, swim in the crystal clear waters of the lagoon at high tide, visit the Saddle Hills Cliff and get the cliffs, beach and sheltered rock pool all to ourselves, then take the boat out to explore the further reaches of the lagoon. 80 Mile Beach has grown since the last time I visited, well kept with great facilities, everyone is enjoying a fantastic King Threadfin fishinng season, everytime i walked past the cleaning station there were 3-4 if these monsters on the table. Also the only beach where we have seen Cook Urchin shells and plenty of them.

Between sorting out the van we get to play tourist on a couple of days before moving on to Bullara Station to enjoy the Burger night and live band, then its off to see the red dog and Cossack before pulling into Port Headland.

In this episode talk about the boat's setup, head out to look for dolphins and then just like our 3 weeks on the Ningaloo Coast is up and we leave North Lefroy and head to Exmouth, the rain the night before flooded several sections of the track and we slip and slide in the muddy sections on the way out.

Loved this …yes Dm they were eyes ! We saw loads of eyes looking at us, only had to paddle though, no swimming involved 26 years ago ! Well done you two, great to see it again xx
Yeh Chris we went when the water level was high so had to swim. I've never swam so fast after I saw the eye's lol amazing experience though, absolutely loved it 😍
Thankyou. Did you order 3 water tanks or do you use your grey water tank for freshwater? We wanted 3 water tanks but they said there was no room due to the airbags.

Hello, You mentioned you had 3 tanks filled up. We only have 2 water tanks and a grey water. Are you filling the grey up with water?
3 water tanks is a special order pre build. If you haven't used your grey tank you should be able to convert it to a water tank quite easily.

Thanks Carol, it was full on but amazing. We sure are getting a work out , my poor body isn't happy, lol, but it's all so worth it 😍 Tyres all sorted now, just slowed us down a day or two, but all good. Love n hugs 💐🌼

Hello I have just listened to your video, we have recently been away in our new Gladiator Force and the LED lights were very bright , the fix is to unscrew from the wall and there are 3 wires, cut the white wire and tape it up with insulation tape,that will take out the light and the USB will continue to work with the other 2 wires.

Great episode guys. Get yourself a copy of Michael Morcombe's Field Guide to Australian Birds. I think I got mine in Broome when travelling. It is very satisfying ticking off various bird types and then learning bird names on your travels. The Spangled Drongo is one of my favourites.

Hi Alfred. I have a Hurricane soon after yours. Also had a Black Jack installed by the dealership. It keeps tripping at full EXT. Fuse blows in the front battery box. I know you installed your BlackJack. Have you had any similar problem?
@@karenmc9298 mine does not trip but you have to release the button when it reaches full extend, all electronics will trip if you don’t back off. If you need to extend the leg all the way down, try using a raiser block. I just use some pieces of wood just for this purpose. Then you won’t have to use the entire travel if the leg and won’t reach the end point which increases the electrical load.

Sorry to hear about the warranty issues, I imagine all manufacturers will be similar to deal with.
@@markandshirley I think that if it could be a verified as a fault a budget could be allocated to get it fixed at a later date or have a part sent out like some other manufacturers.

The glass is too thin it needs a starboard frame either behind the skin or glued to it on the outside.

Mainly electrical gremlins and a few items not installed properly. Have two vids detailing the issues.

It was abit ‘busy’ last week as we were still trying to sort the van but we will be putting in more time for pics and vids.
Great video mate. I went and checked the screws in the hot water surface some of mine where loose also.

Alfred you are a saint ! What a good job you are such a knowledgable bloke, it’s unbelievable that a brand new caravan should have so many build faults. You certainly deserve compensation at the end of this trip to make up for the time spent fixing and trying to fix the problems you’ve had and the stress caused waiting for the next thing to happen. Hope the brakes , cook top and range hood get sorted sooner rather than later .❤

Wow You seem to be having a lot of electrical problems. Not to mention other problems this is very disappointing from an Australian built van. I hope you get it all sorted out. Looking forward to maybe some better news on your next adventure.
Yes I agree but I will get them sorted eventually. We are still having fun and relaxing in between sorting the issues out, we are not letting them get us down.
We have pop top with a smoke alarm and it does blink red but cant say how often.. thanks for the info we are considering the GF. QC across the industry is very lacking unfortunately 😢 such a shame that 5% more focus on QC would make such a huge difference.
Yes I agree, it could be a great van if the QC was more consistent. I have another vid coming out next with more issues.
