As a UF student: It doesn’t rain here all the time, just in the summer/fall months, but a rain jacket/umbrella is definitely necessary. If you’re from Florida, it’s not any different from anywhere else in the state, the rain just shocked out of state students. Get a declining balance instead of a meal plan. The balance transfers between semesters and you can use it anywhere on campus. (Meal plans only apply at certain restaurants) Yeah don’t go to the Hub when there’s a lot of tours or baby gators on campus. It will take forever, and you can just go to one of the restaurants across the street. Or the Reitz Food Court. Everyone jaywalks. Literally. Everyone. It’s not a big deal at all. Bright futures is KEY and there’s a lot of scholarships available. Once you get accepted and set up your UF email, you will get emails from the advising offices all the time letting you know what scholarships are available to you, when to apply, and how to apply.

same. Out of state tho, wish there were at least some scholarships that would apply to a student in my situation :/
