I'm 16 and my dream car was an el camino. I looked for one for forever and one day we saw one for sale. It was a 1978 ss. No rust whatsoever and they wanted 4,000. My dad got it for 3,500 cash. The deal with my dad was he bought the car and I bought the parts and new paint job. We love the car. I can officially say that I drive the most unique car to school.
I own an 86 El Camino with a 402 big block! People wanted me to get a chevelle, charger, Nova, mustang ect.. I said no an El Camino is to cool to pass up. Man I love them!!
That really is a flawless paint job. Just look how the clear coat shines! Exhaust sounds great too! Plus those old carbeurated Chevy v8s are good engines. I pick this and the 88 and 99 Mercedes' you showed as my favorites from this short takes series.
I'm 19 and from the time I was a kid playing with Hot Wheels cars I always wanted an El Camino. So when I was 16 I bought one as my first car and still drive it. 83 ss
Great start. -Needs to be dropped two inches. -The 5.0L/305cid needs to be swapped out. -The TH350 would eventually end up getting swapped, more than likely.
Personally, no one including me cares for your negativity, he (Kyle) made a mistake and learned from it, that's part of what making a video is, learning from your mistakes
@igord16 Still looks better and is more reliable than any car your country has produced. Also this car was built back in 1984 and it's still running great.
My dad and my uncle are trying to fix the engine of this vehicle so does the motor this truck is badass. But the one we're actually fixing is the red one with circle rims the vehicle also does not include tachometer which means we're going to install one. This one is way more badass she looks like a American muscle badass el Camino
the 1978-1987 Chevrolet El Camino/ Chevrolet Pickup (Iran, 1984-1987) was assembled in Baltimore, United States Doraville, United States Leeds, Missouri, United States Arlington, United States Fremont, United States Oshawa, Ontario, Canada Ramos Arizpe, Mexico Tehran, Iran
The car has air in the tires a fender mounted antenna, seat belts, new muffler bearings and fresh metric lights, buy it now and the paint is included with the car.HAHA! I have an original 87 SS.
i remember there was a rumor that supposedly they were going to bring the holden utes from australia and rebadge it as an el camino. imagine if that actually happened.
@mofragginah I wish I could but, I only work part time and I go to college full-time. There was a I believe an 86 or 87 for sale in Haverhill where I live but there are some minor imperfections like a hale sized dent underneath the driver's side door and the A/C does not work either but, overall in great shape.
I like your video's but I always feel you move the camera around to fast when you show the dealership and parking lot you're at. Maybe you can take a little more time so it doesn't feel like "oh I need a quick shot about this, aaaannd... done!"? Keep it up!
My mom had a '79 Malibu WAY back in the day that had an almost identical dash layout - but in mint green - Ahhh, the '70's. . . I wonder if people 30 or 40 years from now will laugh at today's color contrast stitching and alcantara door inserts.
I had an 80.. put a built 350 engine in it from a 71 elco.. 4 speed.. hugger orange.. lady T boned it almost a year ago.. I'm gonna get another one with a 401k loan ina couple years..
You really don`t know much about cars. That`s a Tic-Toc-Tach, 60/40 split bench seat, power windows, door locks, and remote mirror(manual mirrors have to be adjusted by reaching out the window). Raised hood? You mean Cowl induction hood scoop, or you could just say hood scoop. How about the performance intake manifold? Bed coating not bed liner (bed liners are plastic). According to the tachometer that "running just as strong as ever" engine is running at 500 RPM`s to high. Which makes many wonder why it`s not running at a proper idle, It`s a way to hide other problems.

I own an 86 El Camino with a 402 big block! People wanted me to get a chevelle, charger, Nova, mustang ect.. I said no an El Camino is to cool to pass up. Man I love them!!
If there's one thing I miss on modern cars is that column shifter, I love it!

I'm living the dream with an '82 El Camino that I'm in the process of restoring. ^^
*****
Mine has a 327 from a 1968 car, blue interior and matt black exterior. Probably going to change the interior over to red in the future.
I got a 84 el camino & Now my life is complete!😁
Nice looking machine, the build was weel executed, without going over the top. Thanks for posting!
Shocked the factory clock still operates. Great review as always
I just got a 84 el camino, and this is exactly what I want to turn it into
El Camino Conquista. Best name for a car ever.xD
the only thing that makes it a conquista is that it had a two tone paint job now it's one color lol
Ouch! With the original two tone paint job it would be better. :)
You know you are talking to a Mexican guy here
clean elcamino & really nice paint job
That really is a flawless paint job. Just look how the clear coat shines! Exhaust sounds great too! Plus those old carbeurated Chevy v8s are good engines. I pick this and the 88 and 99 Mercedes' you showed as my favorites from this short takes series.
I want an el camino sooo bad. It's the only car I want!!!
Such a beautiful car! I'd drive that in a heartbeat!
That engine sounds verrrrrry good =D
A thing of beauty.
Beautiful El Camino and great video as always Kyle!
The fullpaint no chrome styling makes last gen visually very compact + the allroad groud clearance with chunky wheels are right on the money!
gorgeous interior
You definitely need to do more classic car videos,
Great vid enjoyed it a lot !
Sweet ride - Grant wheel and the purrfec' color too!🙂👍
Fires right up! I miss you saying that !
Kyle, your vids are classic. Keep up the good work, your awesome!

THE WOOD GRAIN DASH WAS PAINTED,ALSO DASH GAGES ARE 86-88
They're asking 10,000 for this LOL. One of the most expensive cars on the lot! I can definitely see why this is so expensive!
They should bring these back.
Kyle, are you aware that your videos are awesome? Just making sure.
I need a el camino in my life soooo bad
awe yeah north carolina! im trying to get an elco as my first car real soon! love the car/truck aspect

nice car/truck!
Living in Anchorage Alaska had 3 El caminos an 78 my gradation vehicle was a 81 and had a 82!
Very rare vehicle.
Your channel is the bomb I tell all my friends to subscribe
my uncle has one of these! i love it!
Beautiful pickup 💙
Lower it 2.5" inches, get 0.5" bigger exhausts, and supercharge this and it would be a beast.
The 305ci needs to be a boat anchor... 350 or bigger and your straight.
Lets hope you never get your hands on one of these then
Badass El Camino, I would powdercoat the rims black. Sounds knarly.
Great vid. Nice El Camino. Seriously high idle tho...
@Albatrossik Rear turn signals are flashing red, the front signals are blinking yellow
how much was your el camino? I'm looking for my first car now and considering one, would you recommend it?
Damn, that's a beauty
I own an 86 El Camino with a 402 big block in it. Basically the same as this, but with different paint and has chrome trim.
My dad and my uncle are trying to fix the engine of this vehicle so does the motor this truck is badass. That's why i say what i say to every jerk who spews negative garbage on great car videos i call masterpieces
do you still have the car
Saw smoke out of the left exhaust, not a red flag but made me wonder. Piston rings? Or a valve/ valve spring issue?
I need that car It's soooo cool 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Do you guys still have the car?
it looks cool
That growl!
great car
Real nice
👍👌😀

Love it
now imagine this beast with a 6.2 liter v8 WHOOOO!!!!!
i remember there was a rumor that supposedly they were going to bring the holden utes from australia and rebadge it as an el camino. imagine if that actually happened.
Beautiful in its era, what's the price,
Out of this world
GM should make an extended cab El Camino like that
the transmission on the 1978-1987 Chevrolet El Camino/ Chevrolet Pickup (Iran, 1984-1987)
Transmission
3-speed manual
3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic auto
hey kyle can u do a in depth tour of the third generation f-body? 1982-1992
Love it,
@mofragginah I wish I could but, I only work part time and I go to college full-time. You know you want it for yourself Kyle.
Cooler than any Mustang!

What size wheels and tires are those
I like your video's but I always feel you move the camera around to fast when you show the dealership and parking lot you're at. Maybe you can take a little more time so it doesn't feel like "oh I need a quick shot about this, aaaannd... done!"?

It's idling waaay too high

wrong the Conquista was actually a trim package for the El Camino, kinda like the SS package. The Caballero was the GMC model.
I thank I found my first muscle beast
el camino FTW!!!!
this should have been a regular review I think
personally, if you don't like what i have to say ignore it.
oh god what a sound
Is it still available?
4:28
I had an 80.. put a built 350 engine in it from a 71 elco.. 4 speed.. hugger orange.. lady T boned it almost a year ago.. I'm gonna get another one with a 401k loan ina couple years..

leadfoot1892 When he said raised hood I cringed so hard
good points here
I suppose you guys must have some mechanical experience with cars
Mines an 85 she needs some interior like this
