First of all thanks for sharing. I noticed the post because I too am having that same issue with my 2012 Nissan Titan. Starting fine starting fine then all of a sudden turn key and nothing but all systems say go! Do get a click but nothing! Tried the gear shift, brake release, cables, etc. at first you might think oh it was this or that since eventually it starts after you fool around with all these different components. Then you realize none of them affect the starting after all. I have sat here and just keep turning the ignition until eventually it turns on! Just saw an article that it could be the ignition switch! And that’s why I landed on your video to see if that was the issue. You talked so long and rambled to get to your point…oh my starter was out! No offense but could have gotten a lot more likes by just getting right into here’s my problem here is what I tried and fixed it by changing my starter. I am going to try the ignition switch first!

Ok peeps here’s the verdict! Finally broke down and had to take it to the Nissan dealership here in Houston area. The problem got worst and I was about to take a road trip from Houston to Upper East Coast. Diagnosis: starter is going out! Replaced in one day plus check other needed things for security-$900! Yes it was a dent in my wallet but for the piece of mind and safety….Chalked it up to the game! Truck paid for and investment into no monthly payments! Worth it! Smooth sailing every since. Two and half months of no $400 monthly payments covered the cost. I am in the green now! Literally!
Had the same issue, I had replaced my battery terminals cleaned and replaced today and it seem to fixed somewhat the issue, instead of attempting to turn it over 5 or 10 times, it will now start right up on the second try or first try.
My crank but no start on my titan me mad a couple of body after checking relay ,fuses , sensors think I burned our my computer wen jumping another car can I take the computer from a 2005 and install in my 2008
Id like to know how you bumped the starter on the Nissan titan 5.6 liter it has an internal starter under the intake manifold noway you used anything to bump it without removing the intake
Ur gauges keep going on and off mind did same thing and it's the ecm went bad it is common in the titans check that if u keep having issues after replacin the relay

Wow... I skipped forward sooooo much to try and find the answer to the fix but just never seemed to be there... Kinda pointless as from what I could tell it was never fixed! Save yourself your time and find a video thats to the point and helps to fix your issue... Sorry to the poster of this video to be so harsh but damn, just do folks a favor and remove (unless this is a private joke and then I totally get it).
if you car click ONCE, followed by silence. doesn't crank try holding the key on START when you try to crank the engine. crank the car, Click ONCE, HOLD IT THERE, took me about 10 seconds it then crank all of a sudden. the battery terminals were fine etc. my car battery was checked. the voltage dropped to 9V when cranked. which indicates a bad drip in voltage.
Had to watch on 2x speed. Title said “one-click” then the video proceeded to thoroughly diagnose every other no-start issue. Plus, I had to sit thru a TH-cam AD. No like and subscribe from me, sorry.

The starter lead is on the back of the intake. You can reach it. If you unplug the pigtail you can use a jumper wire to bump the starter.
