I dressed like Jane Birkin though we all did...the only unique thing was the basket bag...we all had straight long hair...the girls who didnt ironed it on an ironing board...yes it was a thing.We all had the bangs. We all had the boots and flowered mini dresses no skirt was lower than midhigh and MANY were higher. If you dropped something you kept your legs closed and squatted down to pick it up otherwise you were flashing people. In college guys would lurk at the bottom of stairs to.peek up girls skirts. Not considered sexist at the time.They were just being guys.We wore tshirts with no bras even well endowed girls like me. Only the girlfriends of rock stars spent alot of money on clothes. It was considered gross to have or flaunt wealth...the world seemed all students. We drove VW Bugs the cheapest cars around, no make up except to go.out dancing then big eyes tons of mascara and pale lipstick days...clean faced.

I went paris. All I saw dog poop 💩 everywhere. Rude, mad, unhappy people. I came to a point that Parisians are not happy with themselves and they in fight with their inner peace. Fro. The face I could tell that they are not happy. The contry is always raining, dark and cloudy. It is true that most of Parisian are dealung with depression. The women try really hard to look perfect but in public they were showing that they are not putting any effort on their looks. My Parisian frend was constantly yrying to find her friend's shops where they buy their clothes, get hair cut, make up and on and on this took a tool on her mental health. She wasn't happy. French people live in very small apartments and that the reason they are outside most of the time.
I think that every metropolisian has the problem of being unhappy for under downtown pressure . I live in Shanghai and been to Paris in 2019 , and I was once announced and helped by the policewomen near OPERA for being pickpocketed. Some people said Parisians are cold and busy, but some are still stylish and walm - hearted.
Exactly.. i feel like romanticising the European big cities is bad.. because the locals there like any other countries have the same problems ! These marketing companies just capture the rich areas and push us into thinking something unrealistic ideal stories 💀

Technically, jane is half french half British. I think she was still able to be accepted by french cinema for the reason she still had French blood.
