very interesting to see how to start in a consulting company as a data-sience engineer. I wonder that it seems that most of the time you work on your own. pair-programming is such a great benefit - even for rookies. putting together a senior (as a mentor) and a junior would make sense for me.
Hm, I think the first thing to mention here is that we don’t code that much. It would be more “pair-powerpointing” than pair-programming 😅 We do discuss everything we do, so we don’t really work alone, but you’re right, pair-programming is not done at our company as a regular thing.
I’ve been using python for almost 7 years, I’m not really practising actively, I just use it at work 😅 I did some SQL practice questions on DataCamp but they were very basic, I wouldn’t recommend that to train, it’s probably better to get a full dataset on kaggle or something and try and answer some questions with it
