The western world is now pavilioned under political correctness. Interest, Interest, Interest... No! Study machine learning (or any other subject) has nothing to do with interest. Whether you can learn machine learning successfully depends heavily on your intelligence, but not interest. Western world people are not allow to tell such a simple truth nowadays. Fortunately I'm a Chinese so I'm not afraid. Let me say it again, if you wanna study machine learning no matter because you wanna find a job or not, it is intelligence that matters, not interest, because your desire for money or desire to survive can give you more power than interest to accomplish something you hate.
