- Hey you guys!!! In this video I wanted to show you how I display my diamond paintings. While I love the idea of framing each piece I’ve finished, I’m unwilling to invest the money it would take to do that. I also like the idea of being able to easily switch out my pieces when I want!!!
So this is my alternative!! Painting the borders and hanging with Command Velcro strips!! It looks beautiful and is much more gentle on the wallet!!! I hope you all find this video useful! Thank you so much for watching!!! Happy New Year!!!🥰❤️❤️

You're brilliant!!! I have framed a few, and the large ones can be over $150! I bought a couple magnetic frames so I can switch out my diamond paintings, but if they are large, I have to secure the frame with a small nail to hold the canvas because otherwise it is too heavy... this is such as easy and affordable method!!!! Question... have you tried other colors, or just black? Thanks again for a great video!!!!!

Awww Marty you are more than welcome!!!!! I just rinse the brush under the faucet from the sink! I only use water and it cleans right up super easily!!! Are you drooling??!!! Lolol!!!!!!! I feel the same as you do when I go too long without doing a square!!!! Now I must say you are one brave guy to have 4 wips going at once!!!! The most I had were 3 and I was on the struggle bus!!! Hey, thanks for the great tip, I love it! Do you ever use painters tape, you know the green or blue tape, or is it a little too messy to even try using it? I have a bunch of white acrylic paint for the house. I wonder how that would work. Thanks for some great info.

Looks great. I like this idea and the command strips. Is there a trick to always keeping the ones on the wall and changing out on the back of the canvas so you can change around without having to change the ones on the wall. I have all sorts of acrylic paint so I will try those first. Thanks for the video. (I ordered that dp log book.. should get this coming week)
Hello there Sweet Billie!!!! For me when I take the painting off the wall, I grip the piece of Velcro that’s attached to the painting and gently pull it apart from the one on the wall and it comes off easily! The piece on the wall doesn’t even attempt to move!! I will then either put a new piece of art of a similar size in that same spot or if the painting is larger, I have found that even if both pieces of Velcro are at least halfway connected, the painting will stay on the wall with no problems!!! These Velcro strips are a game changer Billie!!! They work so well!!! Thank you my Sweet Friend for watching this one!! And I’m so happy your logbook is coming!!! Have u tried to take the Velcro off the wall to move or reposition ? If u have doesn’t it take the paint off the wall ? Thanks for the video , I like painting the border looks very nice.
Bambi!!!💙💙 I have definitely taken the Velcro off and it doesn’t remove the paint at all!!! I make sure that I pull it off carefully though but I haven’t had the paint come off yet🤞🏾!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ and thank you for your sweet compliment!!!🥰🥰🥰😄
The finished result looks great! So much easier than fighting a frame or mounting on posterboard

Hi I just subscribed to your channel. I love you you framed this, it actually looks like it’s in a picture frame. Do those strips damage the paint on the wall? Do you seal your paintings?
When I'm doing my DP's getting them ready to frame, I use a big flat tip black sharpie to edge around the diamonds. Trying to paint close to the drills, especially the brighter color drills can leave a residue of paint on the drills. In fact I will use a sharpie to do the whole border. That DP is beautiful!

Girl!! So this is so cool and it gave me an idea. I like to frame mine but you know how sometimes the framing can get frustrating because they don’t always fit.. anywho, by painting the boarder like this it would look like it naturally fit! If that makes any sense!! Thank you!!

Your technique for pushing paint up to the edges of the diamonds is the same one we used to cut in paint at the top of a wall without getting it on the ceiling. Nice to know I may have use for an old skill. 😊
Thank you for this video! This is how I’m going to hang my paintings. Framing is very expensive and I have been trying to look for low cost options.
Yessssssss Shonta framing is on another level of expensiveness. I feel like unless I do a painting that I would want on my walls for years and years then that’s the only way I would even entertain the idea of an expensive frame. Other than that-nawww!!! Lolol!!!! That looks amazing Rachel! I actually paint the borders of my canvases also! Theres no way I could frame all mine and I like the fact that I can choose what colors to use for the borders to make the painting really pop!! TFS Rachel!! I love it!

Oh the painting looks so good like that. Please let us see the other colors you do when you get them finished. I know not all paintings look good with the black border. The sea cottage is one that would look better with a lighter border. I wonder if i taped one off with painters tape i could use some gold spray paint and spray the border. I was thinking of trying that on one of my least favorites first in case it didn’t work out good. I really like this idea. You did a great job in demonstrating how you do it. I also paint my borders. Also, sometimes I will take a very small art brush and paint before I put the drills on IF I am totally sure of what border color I would like to use. This also takes care of the excess glue on the edges too.

I started Diamond painting back in 2018. I have some that are done and ready to be hung on the wall. I did not know what I was going to do till now. thank you so much for the idea on how to hang the diamond paints up and what to do with the border.

Questions: Do you come across paintings and you want to change the color of the diamonds to shades of brown? If so, what colors , #'s and do you do shading? Oh, how long have you've been diamond painting. I'm just really starting squares and I love them not perfectly together for that wholeness view. Do you go straight or up when placing squares and do you use a multiplacer? I appreciate your assistance 💝
