Happy birthday to me!
This one special to me. It is the hardest I've worked to breakdown a track! It was even more challenging than Airworks.
It is mostly the technique I've explained multiple times, about not warping the sample, but playing the chops fast (cutting the tale of the chop with the beginning of the next chop).
But he still goes allover the place from time to time, which made this really challenging. The GOAT :)
The next Challenge: J Dilla - Belive in God... Is hard...
@@D_projects I will take a look! From memory it doesn't strike me as particularly hard
@@Narokx Good luck brother! and happy belated birthday!
@@D_projects Appreciate you g !
Ultimate props! You did a crazy job! This has always stood out as top tier dilla chopping to me.
One of Dilla's finest works, the chopping here is impeccable
Im in your comments section, again.
I've never seen anyone break down this beat, which I consider one of the greatest Dilla beats and one of my favorite.
After this, my love and my passion for dilla has increased, but this means you are very talented. Keep it up boy, love from ITALIA
Thanks for the motivating words :)
Man I love this track so dearly.
God Bless the soul of James Yancey.
No wonder why Dilla has the tastiest chops of all time. It's proven in this track
Just as hard to break down this sample than it was for Dilla to chop. This is absolutely brilliant work and dedication too. Nice work!!
Thanks for the recognition! I worked my ass off, and the content that will be posted later today and throughout the rest of the year will really reflect that!
@@Narokx I was sold on the first sample breakdown of yours I came across. Dilla's Track No. 5. Hope you can make something from your hard work and dedicatio to the art form.
@@itsonlyhosie :)

I also hear a sample from Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs song Wooly Bully in this joint too!! Listen at these sections of the track precisely at 0:47, 0:52, 0:57, 1:09, and 1:22. And its not a part of the song by Smokey Robinson!
Thank me later!! I have a good ear to listen to Hip Hop. I also produce Hip Hop Boom Bap....
Do you have any rza or dj muggs
Can you please do purple too! That jamiroquai sample is crazy mixed with George duke!! My goat dilla beat fosho

@@Narokx respect!!
yiiiikes smh so crazy
does anyone know if this is available on Spotify?
There’s no way he could’ve done all that on an just a 3000
I think this is his pro tools era beat, a bunch of donuts was also pro tools beats and not sp303 as the myth goes.
