Were all the dogs in the pub when you guys stayed there? There seemed to be a lot of dogs. And yeah, Rodger did an amazing job, but I think he suffered for it later on.
@@NomadLifeKiwi hahaha. Spoiler alert! Yes there were a couple of dogs running around. One was named Mallo and was owned by a lady walking the Canada trail. She ended up working there while waiting for the Northwest Territories to open up again to travellers. An awesome story!
absolutley loved this video, captured like true kiwis fascinated by the great outdoors... Thanks for showing us, the remoteness the ferry crossings and long days, loved it... Looking forward to the next one.
Midway lake is where they have a music festival every beginning of August. Structure of cabins, No signal, just outdoor event and entertainment throughout the weekend. Love the video!
That is a real good rule up there: See gas, buy gas. My corollary is that my money will be far more needed in the small community than the large one. Even if I have loads of Coke, pepperoni and chips in the van, if they have a bit of a convenience store I buy chips, Coke and pepperoni.
@@TheWayneReport It was just a couple of days later that the Mackenzie river ferry was out of action and people were stranded for about a week. We were soooo lucky there, but we did have loads of food!
awwwwww Oh just got this to upload onto usb to watch over the weekend...choice...real groovy...hehe! Thanks you guys...💕💗💜 from us here in kiwiland...💜❤💗
My dad and I were in the 4Runner and trailer sharing the “scenic gravel pit” campsite the second night! Love the video!!
@@ByKatieRoberts hey, nice to hear from you! We met you guys at the Arctic Ocean, you’d just had a swim. What an adventure!
What an awesome Adventure! Rodger is a star! The Eagle Plains stop made me remember our adventure there. Thanks kids!

haha, now I feel like coke, chips and pepperoni! But yeah, we like supporting local communities where we can too.
100% agree. Ya never know what’s gonna happen!
