      Yes, that is a good idea. Dimmer switches give you lots of control over your ceiling and wall lighting, so you can set the light level to whatever you want. We also love using dimmers with table and floor lamps. Thanks for the comment and for watching, we appreciate it.

    Yes you're right. we have to measure the area of the room and then adjust to the number of lights needed

    Hi, your examples show lamps beside couches etc in the middle of the room. How do you hide the cords? I’m moving into a small condo and I would like to have floor lamps or table lamps flank my sofa in the middle of the room. How can I accomplish this without tripping over cords?

    • @lampsplus
      @lampsplus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello! One idea is to hide the cords along the bottom of your furniture. Another is to secure them firmly to the floor so they can't move and get in the way. You can find more suggestions online.

    Noticed that some of the chandeliers are hanging over a coffee table relatively low which I think looks very nice. Though most of your sales people are recommending semi flush for that situation. Thoughts?

    I have a question. We have recessed lighting in the kitchen. We just recently installed some pendent lights to go over the island and we have a sputnik chandelier over the dinning room table. My question is do all the lights(bulbs) have to match the recessed lights. Meaning do they all need to be the same color? Or can we make the pendent and chandelier lighting more of a warmer color?

    • @lampsplus
      @lampsplus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi - sure, you can use different color temperature bulbs in different room locations. If the lights are in different or adjoining rooms (which it sounds like they are?) then you probably won't notice it much. This is especially true because the recessed lights won't be as noticeable and you don't really see the bulb directly on them, just the light from the bulb. Where people do notice the difference is when the lighting is in the same room, in the same field of view, with the bulb or light source being visible. And if you get a look that's not to your liking you could always swap bulbs so that they match (or closely match) the bulbs color temps. Great question and we hope this helped!

    Lighting question - we live in Phoenix and are doing a new build. EVERY room has to have a ceiling fan here. How do I combine these with nice light fixtures so they aren't competing for attention? I'm not a fan of having the light source and ceiling fan combined except for maybe a bedroom. There are some rooms where I want to do a nice chandelier (above the dining room table, living room couch seating, kitchen bar seating) but also need a ceiling fan. I have seen some "fandalier's" but they aren't that attractive either. Help!

    • @lampsplus
      @lampsplus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, if you don't want to use fans with light fixtures, we would recommend using the layers of light approach for each room. This means having multiple light sources in each room, wall lights or sconces, table lamps, floor lamps in corners, and so on. This will give you a balanced, well lit space that's comfortable to be in. We invite you to visit our Phoenix area stores to speak with one of our lightin gexperts and learn more.

    Which wall light shall I give in bedroom?

    • @lampsplus
      @lampsplus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi - we always like using plug-in swing arm wall lamps in the bedroom. You can install these next to your headboard, and they can then be easily adjusted for reading or other tasks. And they plug-in, so you won't need to use the services of an electrician. We have lots to browse on our site, take a look and see what you think. Thank you for the question, and for watching our video.

    Should we use 4000k temp all over the house?

    • @lampsplus
      @lampsplus  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's really up to personal preference. 3000K is actually the more common color temperature for everyday use.
