Figures that you’d come up when I did a search for EMG and RP1000. Just ordered a new Jackson and a set of 81s to go in the bridge and neck positions. I plan to use it for heavier stuff. Out of all the friggin gear I’ve bought and tried, I still have my RP1000. I’ve gigged it for 3 years with zero issues. I gave Rodney at Wild Wings in Gainesville your number. He was looking for somebody to fill in on a Friday.

Hey Matt, Your playing is phenomenal. I am a long time hobbyist Meat n Potatoes Hack if you will. I have my share of modelers and Amps, and I was thinking of gong in the same direction as I have a pair of Headrush FRFR 12's for the amp modelers. That sounded great. The Reverbs are really nice. Everything is just the RP1000 going into the powered speaker then ? I found a RP1000 mint for around 160.00 and was thinking of picking it up. Amazing Chops smh. Dang. Thanks-
Hey thank you so much :-). And yes that is just the pedal going straight into a behringer speaker. I'm sure you can do much better tone-wise with a better speaker.
@@MattSpinks a pair of Headrush FRFR12's. My Atomic AA 6 sounded great through 1 of them in my bedroom. I bought 2 for stereo and playing with a Drum and Bassist. Live in the 'Burbs so got to keep it down a little (lot).H.O.A.'s Suck lol.

I have actually and it sounds even better! I ran it through a set of preSonus monitors and it sounds fantastic

Yeah man it has an effects loop like a real amp. Just a really cool platform for going direct that isn't 1700 bucks, haha. Thanks:)
@@MattSpinks Nice! I've been trying to find an affordable way to go Ampless for a while now. But still wanted to used the pedals I've accumulated... I was gifted an old rp255, sat in my basement for a couple years. never even plugged it in... with a bit of tweaking it makes a pretty darn good amp sim!! do you know if the amp sounds are pretty much the same? or is the 1000 like WAAYY better??

@@jamestsquid I haven't tried the 500 but a friend of mine mentioned to me that he doesn't think it has the same tones as the 1000.

Had one and have a RP360XP on the way, cause my Headrush broke, but is being fixed. SO what is the name of that Glorious Patch?
How do you like the Headrush then? I've had the Helix and got rid of it after this. I programmed a patch using the Jumpanel setting through the deluxe 1x12 cab and just dialed the mids at 4000 hz all the down to -7 or 8. I've found that the cabs have almost more to do with the tone than the amps, lol. Gigged with it last night.
@@MattSpinks I LOVE the Headrush. However the FX in the Digitech stuff is better. The absolute worst piece of shit gear I ever owned was the Line 6 HD500X :) Scared me away from Line 6:) The Headrush is like having an amp in the room. The RP amps are a lot more forgiving, seemingly easier to play. I will use this RP360XP while the HR is being fixed and who knows, I may sell the HR:) Did you start with any particular patch in this demo. Sounds good and if it is a preset I'd like to use it:) You know what it is... the feel of the preamp. When I used tube amps I always used Sovtek tubed because of the rich overdrive, ver saturated. Well the Headrush sounds like Groove Tubes... harder, less saturated. The Digitech sounds more like the Sovek tubes:)
@@batmandeltaforce Not to get off on a Headrush tangent, but.... I'm thinking about killing my RP1000, tube amp, and boomerang looper in favor of Headrush Pedalboard & Headrush Looperboard and play direct through some powered speakers. Am I crazy? I love some of the amp models and effects from the RP, and I pretty much just use my tube amp as a cabinet anyway (I bypass the preamp). But, I get stuck in the same bank every time because of the reverb / delay drop off when switching patches. I guess I don't have any real questions, I'm just trying to see if you have any insight, words of wisdom, warnings, etc.
FWIW, I've had my RP500 for over 10 years. Used to run it through my 100 pound Mesa Head/2x12 cab, but now I run it in stereo into a 2x10 combo w/Jensen's with a built-in 1U Rocktron Power Amp, where the RP is my preamp. Patches 1-5 are clean, chorus, Matchless, JCM 2000 and JCM 2000 w/TS-9 and delay and they just sound awesome. Then a ton of song specific patches to match delay times, FX, etc. The LED display is easy to see on stage and I don't need to carry a pedalboard. Could even just go direct, but I still like having an amp. Pity they've been discontinued. Hope mine never breaks!
@@JoeBoomerMusic To begin with, with a gig under my belt... he RP1000 is light years ahead of the RP360. I wish now I had gotten the BOSS GT1 instead. The 360 is too limited and does not have the quality FX the 1000 and 500 do. Also, the Digitech stuff does not do well with full range powered speakers, because the ADDA converters are cheap. You'll LOVE the Headrush. It has "Tails", where FX tail over to the next patch. The "feel" of the HR is VERY different from the RP. The HR does not have as Lush an overdrive as the RP, like the preamp tubes are different. The RP has lush OD like Soltek Tubes, the HR is more like Groove Tube OD. In regards to quality, there is no comparison... HR wins hands down and I can not wait to get mine back, I am struggling to get the 360 to where it needs to be. With the HR you are not limited by what you can put in the chain, you can have 10 EQs if you want. I have not seen any limit to the Quad Processor so far. Do it, you'll LOVE the HR and looper rig:)
