I really liked a theory that Springtrap replacing Oswald's father is meant to emulate the feeling of Afton's actual kids coming to the realisation that their own father was a murderer - doing father-like things, but terrifying at the same time. 'Is this my Dad? Or are they a killer?' For a kid, I bet it would be easier to wonder if their parent had been replaced by someone else than understanding their parents can do terrible things and still be their parent.
That's actually something that I thought of as well. A child's mind might try to separate what they know as their father and the horrible things they've done.
I think that basically this is a retelling of the crying child's story. This is what he was afraid of (from a child's perspective) of witnessing the kids being murdered at the pizzeria. Maybe seeing his dad dress in the suit looks like he's being possessed by the Golden Bonnie character. Maybe seeing his dad stuff the victims in the Golden Freddy suit looks like Golden Freddy eating the children.
@@robynstopped From thinking on it, I believe this story is something like a remix of multiple stories - it has the focus on the Crying Child or Michael's perspective on seeing their murderer father (could be Vanessa from the movie, too) but includes so many other stories in it. Oswald's probably experiencing the memories of a lot of murdered children all at once, which is why it keeps bleeding into his reality and making people look like robots. It's not real exactly - but it might as well be, to him.

This game is kinda legit terrifying, that kid stuck in the endoskeleton even with the sprite graphics is so upsetting especially with the sobbing, they did a great job on this one for sure

Tbh you'd be surprised how often dead animals are just left around in cities and stuff. When I was in highschool there was a dead kitten that was just left on the corner across from the school for like at least a week, and that was in a residential area where kids would walk by.
Someone hit a skunk right across the street from my high school, and that thing was there for months. I'd say I felt bad for the kids walking to school, but I biked to school and passed it daily 😅

The sound design is amazing. The first time Oswald goes through the ball pit and is in the past with the kids having a party. In the background I can sometimes hear little things like people speaking and to me it sounds like it's coming from my neighbours place. I was so confused because I swear I would think it was my neighbours doing something but I realised it was just the game.

I have lived in small towns so I get what you mean but I could still laugh along with Mat’s jokes just because of how clunky the dialogue was. It’s like when a movie starts with exposition-heavy dialogue but at least usually it comes up again there. I haven’t seen past where Mat got up to today, but I feel like the game wouldn’t change at all if the town was still going strong and it was just Freddy’s that closed and was replaced by Jeff’s. one of the subtle ways they show this is a different universe to the main games is that the freddy bonnie and chica are in a different order. Also oz drawing the animatronics could have something to do with him having the fnaf 4 toys, maybe the crying childs memories are atatched to them, and we know oz's family is poor so they would have probably gotten second hand toys, this would explain why he drew nightmare freddy specifically alongside the others.
Maybe it's the fact that they're eating pizza but this episode is giving sleepover vibes (I'm getting myself pizza for dinner while I watch so I can feel included)

I haven't read the books so idrk what the story is about but i believe people have said GGY is very similar/shares some similarities to gregory's character in security breach too.

Actually had to pause the video during the joke about "Gee, Dad supply and demand's really killing this place!" Because my brain stopped computing as it was flooded with memories of, "Oh look, the only arcade in 30 miles just closed down. For the third time." Or, "Oh, there goes the movie theater. Guess I get to beg grandma for a Ride Into Town, next time I want to do _anything._ "

I have lived in small towns so I get what you mean but I could still laugh along with Mat’s jokes just because of how clunky the dialogue was. It’s like when a movie starts with exposition-heavy dialogue but at least usually it comes up again there. I haven’t seen past where Mat got up to today, but I feel like the game wouldn’t change at all if the town was still going strong and it was just Freddy’s that closed and was replaced by Jeff’s. I also feel like Grandma has been mentioned a lot but I don’t see her making an appearance

This reminded me that my small town's locally owned movie theatre is shutting down in September T_T. Now we'll have to drive like an hour to get to any other one.
one of the subtle ways they show this is a different universe to the main games is that the freddy bonnie and chica are in a different order.
Also oz drawing the animatronics could have something to do with him having the fnaf 4 toys, maybe the crying childs memories are atatched to them, and we know oz's family is poor so they would have probably gotten second hand toys, this would explain why he drew nightmare freddy specifically alongside the others.

Its likey just consistency. Foxy always plays some strange unique roll in the games and having him be out of order, separated from the rest of the animatronic makes that obvious

I get the feeling that the whole "the bunny man is my father now" thing is a metaphor. I get the feeling that it's trying to tell us that either one of his sons knew what William did, and I think it was Michael, since the game is very explicit in telling us that it's 1985 when the murders happened. CC is dead at this point. So maybe Micheal saw William commit murders and since then just sees him as a murderous rabid animal

at 19:49 it kind of looks like Bonnie's guitar only if it was very old and broken, which could be why it was left behind curtain since there's no animatronics. The wires are most likely the broken string of the guitar since the guitar is broken. (Opinion, that's just what it looks like to me.)

As someone who's been digging into the rural Appalachian communities recently, the beginning of this game hit really hard. We havent done enough for the people of the towns that were the backbone of this nation.
I haven't read "Into the Pit" so if I'm wrong, that's okay 😂 but right as Mat says "they show six missing kids instead of the known 5" maybe Oswald was/is the sixth missing child? Nah, the books keep Oswald alive, dw about it though, I think the six kids is in the book though, pit bonnie shows Oswald a hidden backroom with a birthday set up and the kids bodies limp against the chair.
