Hey Mel I just watched your first video, you mentioned that the photography business was causing anxiety. I think the benefit of ebay is we can remain anonymous yet make a living, I retired and have been wanting to start full time but I just cant get going. I wake up at 10, watch some you tube and at 2 Im back to sleep and then after my wife comes home at 5:30 I sleep from 7 to 8 PM. I dont think Im sick I just cant get going. Hopefully telling on myself will help.
Oh wow, that first video! I have come a way since then :) Yes, I think a lot of resellers suffer from mental health, anxiety and depression and thats why we like working alone and for ourselves. By making the TH-cam videos it still give me the chance to be creative which I need so much and miss from the photography business. The best thing about the reselling community is so many people understand what it's like to suffer mental health and there is always someone online to chat to about it if need be. You sound like you're sleeping a lot of the day and it can be hard to break that cycle. You've got this, one step at a time each day and know there are lots of people out there to help you if you reach out xxx

I don't sell a lot of books but I have started to streamline what I sell, thanks for the inspo there. Mostly other media like dvds and music as well as shoes which do really well for me. Hey Mel 👋👋👋 how do you log your hauls in a spreadsheet? Example, you get 100 books for $50 (expensive I know but maths isn’t my strong point), so that’s $0.50 per book. You give it a SKU, list it and place it on the relevant book shelf. You may not list the entire haul at once so how do you know what you paid for each book in a haul and how much profit you made from it from what it sold? I hope that makes sense, I just can’t get my head around it.
Another great video! Never heard of Book Grocer but interesting concept. Such a wide variety of book will help you focus on whats popular. Great shirt! Kudos to the person who suggested it! :)
Some decent profit to be made in that box, not too bad. Probably need a few more boxes so that you've got a bigger sample size to make judgement on the potential returns and to see if it's worth pursuing on a regular basis. Great video, thanks Mel.
Yeah for sure, Most of their boxes only have about 30 books but this was fun to try and see what type of books I might get. I wouldn't order from them again as I can make higher profits from facebook hauls and cherry picking charity stores but it was fun to try something different!

So happy you got some good books. You're not terrible with your words, you are perfect. Wonder what that really was, a book or notebook? Coping skills for basic men, that's funny. I have a few of the coloring books, love it for stress relief, coloring or painting. I hope you do get what you hope for, agree about the smaller books, they should not count as one book, still, good buy.
I have seen their adds myself and often wondered whether they would be worth the chance. I think you could make more money spending the $$ on second hand books that are in excellent condition and make a lot more profit. Having said that, there is still a fair bit of profit in it!

Tbh if the box normally comes with 30 but you’re getting 40 for the same price of $100 then you are just getting ten books free from them which explains the little books 🤷♀️🤷♀️

Dog books sell like hot cakes for me... I got a few about working dogs on utes and outback Australia for $5 ea and sold them for $40 with postage...
