I've spotted an LAPD car a couple of times where I live. There's also a kitted out hearse and another which I'm not sure what it is.. Absolutely stunning cars I'd take one any day.
Nice, there's someone from my area who owns an NYPD Crown Vic, I've seen it a few times out and about, as a fan of Law Enforcement roleplay on various games it always plasters a smile on my face to see one in person
- I grew up in West Chicago, Illinois. A buddy of mine bought an old CPD crown vic for $500, we hooned the hell out of that car. Good few nights spent driving out past Elburn to do donuts and burnouts on the country roads. Good times! drives like a pig.
People get in a crowd to watch the teens go to a prom? Here in the U.S., we’ve had high school dances and senior proms (before the 17 year olds 12th grade high school graduations in late May (graduations used to be in mid-June).. Just the parents take pictures of their teen kids dressed up in formal wear and then the young man would drive his date to the place where the prom is. People aren’t gathered around the place to watch the prom couples walk down a red carpet. But that’s really nice that they do this. It’s like a movie premiere. ❤️😄
Wow I'm surprised it is like that in the US. Here in the UK for proms, family and staff at the school will gather as a crowd typically along a red carpet at the selected prom venue, and prom students will typically show up in a flashy or unusual car (like mine!)
There's need to be more videos of these Probably the best cheap cars u can get if u want the same amount of attention on the road as super car/luxury car drivers get..
That's quite the collectable car. Given that British roads seem so narrow, and your fuel prices so high, you'd have quite a challenge driving that sometimes. You should try getting an Australian Highway Patrol V8 Holden Commodore, not that any are still in use. Best wishes from the Gold Coast, Queensland.
Did you drive through Yorkshire today? It must've been you unless there's another police crown vic roaming about the UK this week... 😂😂(All you had to do was drive past me for this to show up in my feed, scary!) + my phone was in my pocket!
@Goodstegosaurus You most likely have to come here to America and buy an old or out of commission police car through the government auctions or private auction sites or local classified ads from the American online newspaper and also government websites. Before buying if you are really interested in an American police car, usually it’s made by the Ford car company. They will tell you do not impersonate a police officer in their American police uniform… but since you’re in the U.K., an American police uniform would be pretty much a costume there. Lol..Most of the police cars will still have their sirens and lights, but I think the wires are cut so civilians won’t use the lights and sirens. Some people buy an old cop car at an auction without the lights and lettering and just have the cop car repainted. Always make sure the tires are in good condition. Other states police cars are not always black and white. It may be all dark blue or primary blue, or all white with a long stripe around the car, an SUV cop car, also it could be a Ford Mustang police car, those are cool looking cars and fast and smaller than this police car in the video. This police car in the video looks a bit older. Next step, paying for delivery from the U.S. to where you live. I forgot, if you’re ever interested, here in the U.S., there are police car shows open to the public and you can meet the policemen and policewomen. And they have several cop cars in our parades here, too. I’ve seen a few cop car shows at local fairgrounds in California. It’s cool to meet our city cops. Good luck! 😊
These cars are very hard to acquire, especially now with Crown Vics being rare and the prices of them going up. I bought mine direct from the department a few years ago for 9K all in. These days you'd easily spend 15K importing one like this. Your best bet is to buy one that is in the UK already. They occasionally come up for sale.
@@average_belgian Which country are you in? In the UK on eBay there is a 2008 Crown Vict LX Sport for £6,500 right now. I'd buy it myself if I wasn't saving for a house.
@ Like the Username implies, I'm from Belgium xD. I'm not really looking to buy one right now. As I still have studies & stuff going on. I was just wondering if you'd knew official dealers that'd import cars from the US to America. Considering you own a Vic.
Its legal to have something like this in the United States you just can’t use the siren while on the road or in a public space but you can still have it as a police car.
How much did the vic cost and all the equipment, I was thinking of getting one in 1-2 years, depending on how much they are or get an explorer (also live in uk)
Having them installed is not illegal as far as i am aware as long as they are not intended to impersonate a police car and not used on public roads. (You can use blue lights on private property) Ironically the crown vic isn’t impersonating a police car, because it IS a police car that is quite obviously not a UK police car. However if you stuck blue lights on a blacked out 5 series, you could potentially be in a sticky situation
@blazortheepic0384 pretty much nailed your answer. These American police cars sit within a grey area of the law. A mate of mine got arrested for using his lights on the public highway, but he was let go later that day because they knew it wouldn't really hold up in court as impersonation with it obviously not looking like a legit law enforcement vehicle.
I hope you get a Mustang or Dodge Demon SRT Interceptor some day complete with the Highway Patrol uniform ahahaha Awesome video though. I need more! Take it to car shows or even meet ups!
Maybe if I was rich! Those cars are quite expensive and not very reliable in comparison to a Crown Vic. I've got plenty of other videos from big car shows and parades with other American police cars. The Motofest Coventry shows are the best because we all take over the city streets with the lights and sirens.
As long as he doesn't use the police stuff, its just a regular car. Different license plate which can cause issues but there probably is a workaround. Stuff like code 3 response and the rambler, he uses in driveways and parking lots so it doesn't cause any issues. Regarding impersonating a police officer, this is not a problem since uk police don't have that style of cars, have different colours, lights, sirens and text. So the car clearly stands out so it's not considered impersonating. + As stated before, different laws so they allow stuff like this
12:46 cool, but you can't use light and flashing signals in street traffic even if you meant well for the child, i.e. you broke the ban and recorded yourself but ford crow police is cool and yes you record u broke a use singnals in traffic XD
@7enty7en83 Lol 🤦🏻♀️Do you think people who has never seen an American police car, isn’t going to want to touch it? So what if they are curious and want to touch the cop car. Do you hear the owner complaining not to touch? It’s not yours to worry about. You got pissy of something’s that’s not yours. Lol 😂😂😂😂😂

The crown vic is iconic, but that black and white colour scheme is something else. Beautiful!
I like the white and blue livery (mostly found in nyc)
Super cool the crown vic always was one of the most iconic american cars ever made imo, glad you're sharing your passion with others

This is brilliant! Haven't got a Crown Vic yet but this is what it's all about
I would love to see a Crown Vic become an actual police car in the UK, like a heritage unit or something
You're here again, finally you can see the police car clearly, it was time to listen to the siren and it was pretty cool, just keep going
