I love all nordic countries. Including Iceland. But my favourite place of all is in Jämtland in Norrland Sweden.
😊 And I can assure you that it is both safe and beautiful there. And high quality of life.

4:15 Sweden has got much more sunlight in the summer than Denmark but due to it being further north there is far less sunlight or even light in the winter. Especially in the northern part where they have got 24h light in the middle of the summer and 24h dark in the middle of the winter.

I thought everyone knew Sweden is rapidly getting more and more violent😅
Anyways, Faroese person here🙋🏼‍♀️ I’ve moved a lot around in the Nordics and I’m gonna try and fill in some of the missing info on the Faroes. The Faroes are cheaper than Greenland and Iceland, but more expensive than the rest. Based on the news from the past 10 years and my own experiences, we seem to have the least crime.

The biggest challenge during the fall and winter is not the temperature to be honest but the lack of sunlight

It is over-interpreted regarding security problems in Sweden. The country is very large and it is as safe to live in 99.5% of the country's different parts, as it is in the other Nordic countries in average. Then there are the number of small certain so-called ”vulnerable areas” where gangs fight with each other, that also affect those who live just there. Those gangs are damaging each other internally, but at the same time they damage the reputation for the whole country. Thats why we got higher in the statistics of violence. Unfortunately.
But the rest of us who never are in those areas do not notice what happend and dont feel affected. We only hear about it in media, as others.
By the way, I live in Stockholm, the largest city in the whole Scandinavia and Nordic region, and I do not feel insecure at any time.

Greenland is expensive. If you are travelling, its through air or ship. And most of us have never traveled much, even to our other towns.

Well... statistic is statistic.. some national stats are fine for Sweden but some things would vary a lot depending on where in Sweden you would live. Climatwize Sweden have 4 different climatzones. The eastcoast is usually sunnier than the westcoast.. Far south of Sweden is basically = Denmark. You'll may settle there 😅. Housing is very expensive in Stockholm and almost at the same level as London.. in the countryside you have plenty of cheap houses and there is a lack of teachers and dentists while other jobs may be hard to find and huge distances to travel.
UK is a class society. It is not that prominent in Sweden although it exists. But it is not as obvious in the schoolsystem compared to US och UK concidering the ability for parents to choose a public or private school. We have a very informal tone in our society. The negative side of that is lack of respect for elders and teachers. Denmark, Finland and Sweden are part of the European Union, Norway is not. Norway is rich enough to stay out..😅.
We have a terrible situation in Sweden with drugrelated gangcriminality affecting more and more people. People have allowed segregation and have not cared much as long as deadly shootings only affected less priviliged areas with a high part of immigrants. It is a complex matter and our politicians no matter what party, tend to treat it as less complex matter.

Norway pays the EU just under € 900 million a year for access to the EU's internal market, or around € 170 per capita (2016), and although Norway is a rich country, it cannot afford to leave the EU.

7:00 I agree Norwegian is probably the best to learn, it's much like danish just written more logically and spoken like fairies would speak Danish, so you cold relatively easily speak with both Swedes and Danes.
Danish and Swedish is kind of at the same level.
With danish, you would get by in the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Iceland as they all learn Danish in school.
With Swedish you could speak with a lot of the people in Finland, as it's an official language there, at least in some of the districts.
