I've watched hundreds of youtube videos about fragrances in the past 4 years or so, but this is definitely one of the best ones - you've managed to convey this topic (potentially abstract for most people) in a really clear and practical way - I'm now emboldened on my layering journey, kicking off with Lynx Africa with a dash of Sauvage :)
That last spray! 😂 My favorite combo lately has been Philosykos EDT on the bottom with BDK Gris Charnel on top. I think the Gris Charnel needs a bit of sparkle, and I like enhancing the fig note.

I recently layered Falcon Leather + BDK Crème de Cuir and fell totally in love with the overall sexiness of the two together. I also layer Diptyque's Do Son EDT + Tam Dao EDT for warmer weather.
I have layered Hibiscus Palm with Vanilla Vibes and received compliments on it. I also layered it with Versace versense and also received compliments. I also layered it with Jo Malone wood sage and sea salt and received compliments. I like to spray Crush On Me on one part of the body and Hibiscus Mahajad on another (not good mixed together) for an incredible sillage. I also like to layer Lust in Paradise with Hibiscus Mahajad for an incredible blend. Also like to layer Scherzo with material woman - may not seem like it but it was great

My favourite combo is Mon Paris Intensement + Tuxedo, both from Yves Saint Laurent. In general I like mixing florals with more masculine notes. Love your videos! 💕
I always layer hibiscus palm with a fresh citrus scent if I'm going to work in the summer (think it's from Gucci). I also only use it to layer perfumes that I find too sweet. Definitely gonna try the vanilla vibes! Oh and btw I love your makeup here! What's on your eyes, it's gorgeous!

I discovered 1 layering concoction last summer is to spray Confetto by Profumum Roma first then layer with Sel Marin by Heeley. It’s like having an almond cake by the beach. I got compliments from it. I do want to try layering the Sel Marin with Hibiscus Palm (which I don’t have it yet) after watching this video. Sounds like Sel Marin could be a good fresher replacement of the Vanilla Vibes (since I don’t quite like Vanilla Vibes 😬).

We are not supposed to tamper the creativity of the creator, that is what we are doing with mixing. Can you help me decide between Oud satin mood, Sandal Ruby, Santal Pao Rosa or maybe Miller Harris Scherzo..Armani Prive... Viva La Nuit? I am usually inclined to Oud, Sandalwood, Jasmine, Rose with floral combinations. Do not like very sweet perfumes tbh. Now I cant buy all but want to definitely treat myself and invest in one.
I really want to like Atomic Rose but I just don't! I think it's a personal thing because it does remind me a bit of a funeral home. I usually love most rose fragrances and when everyone says this is something very speicial I was very excited to try it. It doesn't work for me unfortunately and that makes me sad 😭 This video on the other hand was fantastic! Hello 👋 Josephine. I bought Van Cleef and Arpels Bois Dore due to your recommendation and I'm saddened to report that I had to return it. To my nose and on my and my husband's skin, it is black pepper overload! We did love the tonka bean sweetness which was light and airy. I just wish it wasn't black pepper dominant. Even in the dry down, the black pepper was still prominent. What a shame!

I recently blind purchased two fragrances in which you have recommended (one of them I am anxiously awaiting the perfect moment to open-Gris Charnel!) and I stumbled upon your love of Jo Malone’s Jasmin Sambac and Marigold. So to the store I went for a sample and instantly fell in love but I’m a little concerned about the staying power. Upon doing further research, there are tons of Jasmin fragrances to include by Aerin, BYREDO, Le Labo, Fredric Malle and of course Tom Ford). My question to you is if I like the JM fragrance, what would be your top 3-5 Jasmin fragrances that you absolutely love that you’d recommend for me? I know Jasmin Rouge was your first purchase ever so I have a small feeling what you will say but maybe there are others you haven’t talked about yet or that I’ve missed. Anyways…it is always hot here in Texas which kills my fall and winter vibes so I figured Jasmin is something you can wear Year around! Thank you Josephine! ☺️
Hi! Thank you for your comment. I tend to gravitate towards the fresher lighter jasmine fragrances and often combined with other white flowers. Two that I love at the moment are impression jasmine absolute by ostens and nuda veritas by atelier des ors :)
Very curious on the jazz club / enscens suave one. Both are quite strong fragrances! Not a fan of jazz club (surprisingly!!) But loooove enscens suave! I need to find a way to try them blend together (since I own non of them )

I generally don’t directly apply then directly on each other just wear both at the same time

We are not supposed to tamper the creativity of the creator, that is what we are doing with mixing. Two or more creation with different top, middle & base nots, imagine two different base not waging war on other set of base notes.

My mistake was that I was using OFG+AR Together on the skin
i was rofl when you said that part of your method to the madness occurred when you accidentally spilt sample a with sample b. chaos theory to the fore!! much love ❤️. as a guy who likes a good rose perfume, i highly recommend rose velours by van cleef and arpels. would love to hear from you on that masterpiece..

Can you help me decide between Oud satin mood, Sandal Ruby, Santal Pao Rosa or maybe Miller Harris Scherzo..Armani Prive... Viva La Nuit? I am usually inclined to Oud, Sandalwood, Jasmine, Rose with floral combinations. Do not like very sweet perfumes tbh. Now I cant buy all but want to definitely treat myself and invest in one.

I really want to like Atomic Rose but I just don't! I think it's a personal thing because it does remind me a bit of a funeral home. I usually love most rose fragrances and when everyone says this is something very speicial I was very excited to try it. It doesn't work for me unfortunately and that makes me sad 😭 This video on the other hand was fantastic! My favourite combo you suggested was the first with BR540 and Bois Dore omgoooosh this is a beautiful combo

Hello 👋 Josephine. I bought Van Cleef and Arpels Bois Dore due to your recommendation and I'm saddened to report that I had to return it. To my nose and on my and my husband's skin, it is black pepper overload! We did love the tonka bean sweetness which was light and airy. I just wish it wasn't black pepper dominant. Even in the dry down, the black pepper was still prominent. What a shame!

I recently blind purchased two fragrances in which you have recommended (one of them I am anxiously awaiting the perfect moment to open-Gris Charnel!) and I stumbled upon your love of Jo Malone’s Jasmin Sambac and Marigold. So to the store I went for a sample and instantly fell in love but I’m a little concerned about the staying power. Upon doing further research, there are tons of Jasmin fragrances to include by Aerin, BYREDO, Le Labo, Fredric Malle and of course Tom Ford). My question to you is if I like the JM fragrance, what would be your top 3-5 Jasmin fragrances that you absolutely love that you’d recommend for me? I know Jasmin Rouge was your first purchase ever so I have a small feeling what you will say but maybe there are others you haven’t talked about yet or that I’ve missed. Anyways…it is always hot here in Texas which kills my fall and winter vibes so I figured Jasmin is something you can wear Year around! Thank you Josephine! ☺️
Hi! Thank you for your comment. I tend to gravitate towards the fresher lighter jasmine fragrances and often combined with other white flowers. Two that I love at the moment are impression jasmine absolute by ostens and nuda veritas by atelier des ors :)

I tried amber musc by erin and tardes by carner barcelona. Those together were perfect and evoked a clean soupy smell.

Very curious on the jazz club / enscens suave one. Both are quite strong fragrances! Not a fan of jazz club (surprisingly!!) But loooove enscens suave! I need to find a way to try them blend together (since I own non of them )

Yes absolutely! I've mixed the two before as well. I usually at molecule 02 first then follow up with the second fragrance
Heavy but perfect for night. I start with Gucci Guilty Absolute for men with and oil roller of tobacco vanille.
